Robert F. Kennedy Jr. rips DNC for skipping debates, reshuffling primaries to protect Biden

Just as it did in 2016 when it stacked the deck in favor of Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) is going to make sure that there is no internal opposition to President Joe Biden who won’t have to worry about having to defend his record from Democrat opponents in the upcoming primaries, particularly from Robert F. Kennedy Jr. who blasted the party’s “rigged” system that is engineered to protest the status quo.

With the 80-year-old career politician making it official that he’s running for reelection, the deeply unpopular Biden will have smooth sailing all the way to next year’s presidential election thanks to the DNC placing its thumb on the scale by not holding the traditional candidate debates as well as reshuffling the order of the early contests to use South Carolina and its heavily black Democrat electorate as a launching pad for the divider in chief’s second term.

Kennedy, the son of slain 1968 presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy and the nephew of assassinated President John F. Kennedy spoke with Breitbart News about the slimy process of today’s Democratic Party machine, a completely different animal than that of the past, an era when his iconic family was dominant and the classic liberalism that had been the party’s hallmark still existed before it was stomped out by the rise of the corrupt new authoritarian left of which Biden is the avatar.

“The DNC, at this point, has taken the official position that there will be no debate, and I think that’s unfortunate… I think what the DNC did to New Hampshire is also unfortunate,” RFK Jr. told Breitbart News Senior Editor-at-Large Joel Pollak on the party’s political bosses’ protection racket, referring to the revised primary schedule that bumped Iowa and New Hampshire, long the early voting states to lower in the pecking order in favor of South Carolina, home of Congressional Black Caucus kingmaker Rep. James Clyburn.

“President Biden didn’t do well there; he came in fifth. So they took New Hampshire, and they kicked it out of first place. And now they’re gonna say — they’re saying that they’re going to completely remove the delegates from New Hampshire, and that, we should be at this point in history,” he said.

Kennedy described the Granite State as  “an exemplar for American democracy” that has been the “gold standard” for election integrity as the “gateway” to the primary process of a century.

“It’s very cheap to campaign in. And it has the largest independent block in the country. And people [don’t] make their minds up until they see the candidates again and again and again, and they shake the candidate’s hands five times before deciding who to vote for,” he added.

“You have to go in, and handshake people and nail salons and diners, and you get grilled. These candidates get grilled by an 80-year-old woman who reads The Economist and reads the Financial Times every day,” Kennedy explained. “And, you know, she asked questions about some arcane matter. And then the follow-up question, then another follow-up question, all of these things that you’ll never get from CNN or from the New York Times, or the kind of soundbite culture in every other state, the, you know, you can, the candidates can raise a billion dollars and take over that state, kind of aerial, aerial bombard it, carpet bomb it with, you know, with advertisements. And it really is about money. New Hampshire is the one place where you got to do retail politics, you cannot escape.”

In another interview, this one with The Epoch Times, Kennedy was also critical of the new rules.

“Debates and town halls are part of the democratic process,” he said in the Monday interview. “We’re living in a time when there’s a lot of Americans who believe our democracy is broken. And I think both political parties have to bend over backwards to start restoring faith in democracy and electional integrity.

“Americans think the entire system is rigged against them,” Kennedy added. “And if the DNC goes through with this—its plan to not have debate—I think that will serve as … an unfortunate confirmation to a lot of Americans that the system is indeed rigged.”

Democrat self-help guru Marianne Williamson, who has also declared her candidacy, blasted the DNC over the new structure that has been put into place to give Biden an unfair advantage.

“The DNC “plans no primary debates,” she tweeted on Monday. “As though there simply ARE no other candidates … no other ideas we should discuss about ways to win in 2024, or other ideas we should discuss about ways to repair the country. Too many people are too smart to accept this.”

“You need to let the public decide who they want for leadership, rather than party commissars like they did in the Soviet Union or in China,” Kennedy told the Epoch Times.
