Corporations simultaneously release slew of similar messages offering to ‘opt out’ of Mother’s Day

A slew of cookie-cutter messages has raised suspicions of a new “anti-family” campaign sweeping the corporate landscape as consumers flagged “opt-out” prompts flooding their inboxes ahead of an upcoming holiday.

“Something very strange is happening with Big Corporations,” suggested a viral thread from the Arizona Informer.

Following the detrimental marketing campaign of Bud Light, the removal of Disney’s self-governing powers for wading too deep into the culture war, and the prevalent slogan of “go woke, go broke,” it appeared that some companies heading into Mother’s Day remained undeterred in gravitating toward Marxist ideologies.

With screenshots of emails from businesses like Nespresso, DoorDash, Etsy and MAC cosmetics, the Informer noted Sunday, three weeks before the annual celebration of moms, that companies were promoting isolating their customers from “triggering” content.

“Something very strange is happening with Big Corporations. Out of nowhere, @kroger owned @FrysFoodStores, @KayJewelers, @Hallmark, and now @DoorDash have all sent ‘Opt out of #MothersDay’ emails to their customer base,” the tweet read. “This is not organic. This reeks of anti-family activists.”

Included in the opt-out onslaught was Levi’s, who notably ousted their brand president last year for her stance opposing COVID school closures to protect kids from harm. Their message read in part, “So Mother’s Day is just around the corner and before we start bombarding you with mom-related content we just wanted to check in first. We know motherhood and all the associated feelings, emotions and memories can be tricky–and even triggering for some people. The last thing we want to do is hit you with celebratory ‘yay mom’ energy that doesn’t match up with your vibe.”

Other companies in the mix were Stitch Fix, buybuyBaby, Cartier and, oddly, Ancestry.

Reacting to the thread, one social media user pointed out, “It’s really weird how they’re all doing this in unison,” prompting the response, “That’s how you know it’s not organic. Similar language. Like a template that was passed around.”

As a set group of society struggles with the previously widely accepted definition of a woman, and alphabet activists promote the usage of terms like “birthing person” in place of mother, it should come as no surprise that while these messages were going out the past couple days, President Joe Biden took his own shot against that traditional family as he honored the National Teacher of the Year.

Speaking from the Rose Garden Monday, Biden honored Oklahoma high school math teacher Rebecka Peterson whom he quoted and paraphrased when he said, “Rebecka put a teacher’s creed into words when she said, ‘There’s no such thing as someone else’s child.’ No such thing as someone else’s child. Our nation’s children are all our children.”
