‘I told you my plan is to run again!’ Biden barks at reporter for pressing on 2024 announcement

President Joe Biden on Friday snapped at a reporter who’d been bugging him about whether or not he intends to run for reelection in 2024.

Speaking at the Ireland West Airport Knock late Friday right before boarding Air Force One en route to Delaware, he was asked by a reporter, “Do you know whether the last few days have changed your calculus on when you’ll make an announcement on your plans for 2024.”

“No, no, no, no. I’ve already made that calculus. We’ll announce it relatively soon. But the trip here just reinforced my sense of optimism about what can be done,” the president replied.

Instead of taking a hint, the reporter then basically repeated his question.

“So you’ve made a decision?” the reporter asked.

“I told you, my plan is to run again!” the president then barked back.

Watch:

And so evidently, it’s official: the president IS running for reelection. To be fair, everybody pretty much already knew he planned to run.

“He says he’s not done. He’s not finished what he’s started. And that’s what’s important. … How many times does he have to say it for you to believe it?” first lady Jill Biden said to the Associated Press back in February, according to Fox News.

Also, when, during an MSNBC appearance that same month, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked whether an official announcement will be made soon, she reportedly replied, “What I can say is repeat what the president has said many times is that he intends to run. And I leave it there.”

All signs currently point to 2024 being another battle between Biden and former President Donald Trump, who’s already declared his candidacy and is leading the dojo in GOP primary polls.

However, there is one possible catch. There are rumors that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis may jump in the ring as well. And the thing about DeSantis is that, like Trump, polls show he too could potentially beat Biden.

Look:

Incidentally, this week a grassroots super PAC dedicated to drafting DeSantis into the 2024 presidential race dropped an attack ad — its first one ever — accusing Trump of being a “gun-grabber.”

The ad by the Never Back Down super PAC was published Thursday, a day before Trump spoke at the National Rifle Association’s Leadership Forum in Indianapolis.

All this comes as the president is continuing to face criticism for traveling to Ireland with his crack-smoking son Hunter and sister Valerie in tow.

“President Biden took his embattled son, Hunter, and his sister and former campaign manager, Valerie Biden Owens, on his first presidential trip to Ireland Tuesday to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement,” Fox News reported last Tuesday.

“The Bidens boarded Air Force One at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland and headed for the Northern Ireland capital of Belfast, where the president will embark on a four-day tour in an effort to ‘keep the peace’ in the region,” according to Fox News.

The problem is that his youngest son is currently being investigated by congressional Republicans over his shady overseas business dealings. Shady business dealings that the president’s own administration appears to be ignoring.

But it gets worse.

“Hunter Biden firm sought Irish government investments while Biden was VP, raising questions about Ireland trip,” the headline of a Fox News piece published two days later on Thursday reads.

“In 2011, Hunter’s partners at his now-defunct investment firm Rosemont Seneca Partners discussed making contacts to expand their energy investments in various state-owned investment funds, including in China, Ireland, Oman and Qatar, according to emails reviewed by Fox News Digital,” the outlet reported.

Yet despite this, Hunter wound up spending the whole trip to Ireland right by his father, the president’s, side.

“If ever there were a question as to Hunter Biden’s whereabouts, the answer this week was obvious: He was overseas, glued to President Joe Biden’s side during the entirety of a whirlwind trip that mixed global diplomacy with a sprawling exploration of his ancestral roots,” Politico has confirmed.

“There was Hunter, chatting with U.K. Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on the tarmac in Belfast. There he was again in Dublin, huddled in the rain with Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar. He was in County Louth, absorbing the sights. In a local Dundalk market, he surveyed the menu, interrupting his dad’s conversation to suggest he may order something.”
