‘There isn’t one’: Elon Musk rebuts WH declaring an ‘epidemic of violence against trans people’

In the wake of multiple mass shootings committed by people who identify as trans or non-binary — the latest of which occurred in Nashville, leaving three children and three adults dead just days ago — it is almost inconceivable that the Biden White House would announce that there is an “epidemic of violence against trans people.”

But this is Joe Biden’s America, so that’s exactly what the White House did.

“On Transgender Day of Visibility, we want you to know that we see you just as you are: Made in the image of God and deserving of dignity, respect, and support,” the leader of the not-so-free world tweeted on Friday. “We’ll never stop working to create a world where you won’t have to be brave just to be yourself.”

To drive the divisive point home, the White House quote-tweeted the president.

“On Trans Day of Visibility, the Biden-Harris Administration celebrates the joy, strength, and courage of transgender Americans,” the administration wrote. “Trans rights are human rights.”

In another tweet, the White House touted Biden’s record with respect to “transgender Americans.”

Topping the list was the administration’s “Coordinated interagency action to address the epidemic of violence against trans people.”

UnHerd’s executive editor, Freddie Sayers, questioned the very meaning of the statement.

“When the White House announces that there is an ‘epidemic of violence against trans people’ what does that even mean?” he asked. “It’s language used to signal virtue rather than describe anything with precision — and it’s coming from the most powerful office in the world.”

Twitter CEO Elon Musk replied to the tweet, essentially calling the White House a liar.

“If there were in fact such an epidemic, the White House & every newspaper in the western hemisphere would shout each case from the rooftops!” he tweeted. “There isn’t one.”

The response set off a Twitter torrent of criticism for the Biden administration.

“Joe Biden never even tweeted one thing paying respects to the families of the 6 Christians who were killed by the transgender activist,” noted Final Stand CEO Matt Wallace.

“Could be because he doesn’t care?” replied one user. “Actions speak louder than words.”

“Not only is there no epidemic, you’d struggle mightily to name a single instance of that type of violence,” stated defense attorney David Wohl.

“It’s hard to name groups with more privilege then [sic] those considered victimized by western progressives,” tweeted another user.

“The only epidemic of violence against transgender people is literally self-inflicted, and it has nothing to do with not being ‘validated’ and everything to do with the mental part of the equation,” said Ian Miles Cheong.

And yet another user offered the tweet the White House should have sent, adding, “The White House is occupied by clowns.”
