‘They’re not going away’: Megyn Kelly is ‘f**king sick’ of calls to ban guns, points to ‘our society’

Megyn Kelly reacted strongly to the usual hysterical demands for new restrictions on the rights of law-abiding gun owners in the aftermath of the latest school shooting to rock the nation, bluntly stating that she is “f**king sick” of the calls to ban guns due to the actions of a mentally disturbed individual who chose to act out in a violent manner.

The conservative journalist and former Fox News anchor weighed in on Monday’s massacre at a Nashville Christian school where a 28-year-old woman who was a member of the transgender community cold-bloodedly murdered six people including three young children in yet another of the tragic events that have become all too commonplace in a country that is suffering from a national mental health crisis amidst a steep decline in moral values.

“Three nine-year-olds were shot down yesterday by one sick person in addition to the three school administrators,” Kelly, who is the mother of a nine-year-old, said on Tuesday’s edition of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” her popular SiriusXM radio program.

“There’s something wrong with our society and I for one am f**king sick of the knee jerk — ‘It’s the guns. Get the guns.’ We have 330 million guns, maybe over 400 million by some counts in America. They’re not going away. We could do an assault weapons ban tomorrow. They’re not going away. All right? We have to take a serious, honest look at what’s wrong with us,” she added, serving up the reality of the situation without a smidgen of sugarcoating.

“We can take a look at what’s going on in the case of this particular woman — trans person, she’s a biological woman, and figure out what made this person crack. But we go through this every time. We try to figure out the issues that led to this person to do it or that person to do it, and then we change nothing. Okay? We change nothing,” Kelly said, also calling for the country to take a “hard look” at mental health, a factor that gets little attention with the media, celebs and left-wing politicians ALWAYS focusing on exploiting school shootings to relentlessly push their anti-Second Amendment agenda instead of addressing root causes of the bloody incidents.

“And I realize it’s a big country and it’s a free country and you’re never gonna be able to stop them all. But that shouldn’t lead to just the constant shoulder shrugs… I for one, think we really need to take a hard look at yes, mental health and also institutionalization,” she added.

“Institutionalization. We need to make it easier to civilly commit people who are showing signs, red flags, that they may be the next school shooter,” Kelly said, noting that details on the mental health of shooter Audrey Hale have not yet been publicly released although it has been reported that she was undergoing care for an undescribed “emotional disorder,” at the time of her deadly rampage.
