Faith was the target of many after six were murdered at a Christian school and when progressive commentator David Pakman was called out for his part in victim-blaming, his mea culpa that wasn’t heaped on the hate.
The cultural rotgut pumped out by corporate media, eschewing facts with a patented brand of misleading headlines and strategic omissions, was on full display Tuesday. As outlets endeavored to craft a news cycle that ignored the motivations of a suspected mentally unwell woman who thought she was a man, blame was not only ascribed to her chosen implement of evil, but to the victims as well.
Issuing forth his take, YouTuber Pakman posted a since-deleted tweet that read, “Very surprising that there would be a mass shooting at a Christian school, given that lack of prayer is often blamed for these horrible events. Is it possible they weren’t praying enough, or correctly, despite being a Christian school?”
Like many, Ian Miles Cheong would go on to point out, “Let it be known that David Pakman and other liberal commentators are and will always be terrible people.”

Whether feeling the heat or simply seeing an opportunity to capitalize on the attention his offensive tweet had brought, Pakman offered up a video to explain how what he stated clearly didn’t mean what you think it meant (so why delete it?) and perhaps he was a victim too.
“Earlier today, I deleted a tweet about the Nashville shooting. I recorded a video about this,” he tweeted, adding, “Anyone who knows me, understood the tweet, and gets the whole story.”

Within the video, the leftist repeated that claim and stated, “Anyone who knows me knows I would never blame the victims of a mass shooting for that mass shooting.”
Pakman then proceeded to briefly mention mental illness as a possible contributing factor before thrusting his ire on guns and those who support the right to keep and bear arms.
“If you’re a Second Amendment fundamentalist, it’s convenient and easy to go after someone like me who wants gun safety regulations,” he said, asserting his own victimhood as he demonized others. “Taking NRA money is like taking blood money.”
While mischaracterizing thoughts and prayers as a solution, the progressive pundit deemed himself the arbiter of solving violence like that which took place at the Covenant School as he pushed his proposals and ignored the existence of solutions from the right.
Scathing reactions to the tweet and video poured in.
You should just apologize, David.

Haha what a disgusting tweet, blaming the school over the shooter.

Sadly, these people on the far left only know hate.

Dude you dunked on the bodies of dead children. Be a man and take the L.
But you can’t just apologize and move on, instead trying to grift off it. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) made sure to remind on social media, “The Covenant School shooting was horrific. For everyone who says ‘thoughts & prayers aren’t enough,’ I AGREE. Ask why EVERY SINGLE SENATE DEM voted against my bill doubling police officers in school. One armed officer could have stopped this lunatic, BEFORE a child was killed.”
