Former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger may no longer be a member of Congress but his whining about former President Donald J. Trump continues and the CNN political pundit even resorted to a bit of blasphemy to make his point about his dismay over the 2024 GOP frontrunner’s continuing popularity with the party’s diehard patriotic base.
According to the ex-lawmaker who now draws a paycheck as another member of the stable of propagandists at the self-proclaimed “most trusted name in news,” Trump’s supporters have come to view the unshakable defender of America as a messianic figure, not unlike the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ himself.
Kinzinger appeared on “CNN This Morning” where he joined his fellow media leftists who have been whining for two solid days about Trump’s weekend rally in Waco, Texas, the home of Baylor University as well as the location of the 1993 siege in which dozens of members of a religious sect including children lost their lives when heavily-armed government forces stormed their compound, a tragic situation that has been resurrected to portray the ex-POTUS and his supporters as extremists.
After footage of some of Trump’s rousing remarks to the crowd who gathered on Saturday in Waco were shown, the tough-talking former member of the defunct House J6 committee conjured up a mythical menace to America in the form of a new movement during a typically unhinged rant.
“Beware of false prophets,” Kinzinger said. “And I mean that very sincerely because what you have now is this kind of Trump as Jesus movement I’m calling it, where it’s like there are people comparing you now, Jesus being crucified and rising again in three days to this allegation from Alvin Bragg,” referring to the troubled prosecution of the malicious George Soros-backed Manhattan district attorney who is set to take a great leap of faith on discredited star witness Michael Cohen to try to nail Trump to the proverbial cross.
“And I’m serious,” he continued. “This is like what’s happening out there and so, you know it’s very effective. I mean half of the Texas delegation has already endorsed Donald Trump. I say this to all my friends that are like ‘hey, Trump is going to go away,’ like there has been this constant hope for six years or longer that there’s gonna be some magical unicorn that comes down from heaven that’s gonna sweep Trump off the field so nobody has to personally attack him.”
“Only like Liz Cheney, myself and few of us are the ones that ever have to speak out because something’s gonna come down and do it,” he raved, dropping the name of his former congressional crony who like Kinzinger, self-immolated her own political career with her obsession to take Trump down, only to be clobbered in her own state’s primary by 40 points. “It’s not gonna happen until you speak out.”
“Ron DeSantis is not gonna roll in and magically save this without attacking Donald Trump,” Kinzinger added, as a sense of dread settles over the so-called Resistance that Trump is going to not only survive but emerge stronger than ever.
