Former President Donald Trump’s focus during his latest interview triggered a fiery debate from a panel of policy supporters that had some questioning apparent “grievance and anger.”

Though expected, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has yet to announce a bid for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Despite that fact, Trump has spent time on Truth Social, at speeches and during his Monday night interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity violating President Ronald Reagan’s 11th Commandment.
Hannity asked the president about the ongoing barrage against the popular governor, and Trump explained at length how he had endorsed “desperate” DeSantis in 2018, which didn’t sit well with Fox News host Laura Ingraham.
During her program, “The Ingraham Angle,” which immediately followed Hannity’s interview, she sought the opinions of Trump adviser Stephen Miller and New York Post columnist Miranda Devine on how the president was campaigning.
“I know I’m going to offend people by saying it…The country wants solutions,” Ingraham said as she framed out the upward trajectory the nation was on prior to President Joe Biden taking office. Raising points about a potential indictment, election integrity and the attacks on DeSantis, she turned to Devine and added, “I’m going to say this until I’m blue in the face, Miranda.”
“I 100% agree with you,” the Post columnist said. “And I hope you do continue to say that and I hope that at some point Donald Trump does flip to the future instead of dwelling on the past because he looks like someone who is full of grievance and anger. Not like someone — like he was in 2016 and like we knew him as president, really a sunny person who focuses on serious issues and does them with panache — not someone who’s constantly dwelling on grievance.”
Particular attention was turned to Saturday’s Waco, Texas rally where Trump told a similar story of DeSantis allegedly “begging” for an endorsement with tears in his eyes, which notably did not land with laughter or applause from supporters in attendance.

Taking umbrage with the way Ingraham was framing the campaign, Miller cut in and passionately argued, “If I could just jump in here. Laura, the president has put forward a new policy plan every week.”
The adviser brought up Trump’s proposal for a “Quantum Leap in the American Standard of Living,” intended to reignite innovation and enterprise with the construction of new cities, along with plans to end child mutilation pushed by queer theory ideologues.
However, Ingraham interjected, “Why isn’t he talking about them?”
“It was two-thirds of his speech in Waco! It was three-quarters of his speech at CPAC! He did a full hour on policy in both of those addresses!” Miller contended, dismissing the host’s premise that Trump was given a platform that night that could have been used to discuss those issues instead of going after a potential rival.
“Stephen, nothing can be tweaked? Nothing?” she implored.
“I have not in my lifetime seen a candidate who’s put out more new policy in so short a period of time,” he went, on prompting her to fire back, “Then talk about it! Talk about it every time you get!”
“Every single week! I was at the CPAC speech! It was an hour straight in the speech!” he pointed out again.
Though Ingraham would go on to let Devine have the final word on the matter, she tried to school Miller on taking “constructive criticism” with her opinion that Trump’s current approach would work well with his base, but would ultimately do little to attract other voters who often tune out as politics get nastier.
