Hijinks ensue when MSNBC analyst claims the walls are REALLY closing in on Trump this time

There have been years of false alarms but this time the walls really are closing in on former President Donald J. Trump, just take it from MSNBC analyst Glenn Kirschner who sought to pump up the morale of the left-wing cable network’s viewers that there is hope on the horizon after the crushing disappointment that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s malicious prosecution of the prized trophy which has all the appearances of being yet another dud.

Kirschner, a former federal prosecutor joined host Jonathan Capehart to divert attention away from the troubles in New York City where Bragg’s grand jury was unexplainably called off for two days in a row in the case over an alleged “hush money” payment to pornographic movie “actress” Stormy Daniels amid rumors of major dissension” in his office, to a much friendlier venue in Washington D.C., a locale where it is virtually impossible for conservatives to get a fair trial due to an extremely biased local jury pool.

On Friday, news broke that a D.C. judge has ordered that former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and other former Trump aides be forced to testify to another grand jury, this one investigating the so-called “insurrection,” the witch hunt that shows no signs of ending despite the Nancy Pelosi-Liz Cheney J6 select committee being disbanded after control of the House of Representatives changed hands in January.

“Given the witnesses and their proximity to Donald Trump on January 6th, can we assume that Donald Trump is the ultimate target for Jack Smith?” Capehart asked, referring to the latest special counsel tasked with taking down the ex-POTUS and putting an end to his political career as well as his aspirations at returning to the White House to exact a terrible revenge upon his tormentors.

“Kirschner replied, “You know he seems to be one of the only people who hasn’t been subpoenaed and I would hasten to add, Jonathan, we ordinarily don’t subpoena targets because that’s the person we’re intending to indict that’s the person about whom we have all of the incriminating evidence. So of course they would have a Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination.”

“Of course lots of the other folks that you just named also may have a Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination,” he continued. “Certainly, Mark Meadows comes to mind. Dan Scavino comes to mind, remember, they were both referred to prosecution by the January 6th committee, by Congress, of course DOJ never did prosecute them but thats an easy data point to argue that they clearly have a Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination.”

“But Jonathan, you said in the lead ‘and the walls are closing in on Donald Trump,” the MSNBC legal analyst added. “Undeniably, that is true.”

“It looks like the walls are just about touching at this point, and it would sure be nice to see some indictments pop out from between those walls,” he said. ”

While Kirschner’s prediction that this time is really, really going to be different may have put a spring in the step of demoralized MSNBC viewers, it only drew guffaws from many on Twitter who who flocked to pile on the legal expert’s cruelly jerking the chains of the network’s gullible audience – again.

Of course the walls probably aren’t closing in on Trump this time either, more likely it’s just a bait and switch to shift the leftist flock’s attention away from Manhattan.
