AOC’s pronoun is ‘menstruating person’: Jesse Watters and Kayleigh McEnany have fun with that

Fox News hosts Kayleigh McEnany and Jesse Watters mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez over her insane habit of referring to herself as a “menstruating person.”

The topic came up during a discussion Tuesday on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” about the congresswoman’s undying support for Ukraine.

“She’s obviously very defensive about her support for Ukraine. And she’s not gonna take it anymore,” Watters said.

“No, and this is why she puts all those whacked-out theories out there. She has to send little signals to her far left base. Like, she calls herself a ‘menstruating person,’” McEnany replied, kicking off the discussion.

Watters was caught completely off guard.

“She calls herself a ‘menstruating person?'” he asked with incredulity.

“Yes, and if you call her out for calling herself that, you are transphobic. So, you’re about to be hit by her on that point,” McEnany replied.

“Her pronoun is ‘menstruating person?'” Watters then asked.

“That is correct. And you’re transphobic if you think that’s funny,” McEnany responded.

Focused on keeping the joke going, Watters then asked about Ocasio-Cortez’s so-called “gender pronouns”: “It’s not ‘her’ or ‘she’?” he said.

“No,” McEnany replied.

“Is she a Congress menstruating person?” Watters then pressed.

She’s a “Congress menstruating person who wants to have children, but is afraid to have children because of climate change,” McEnany responded, mocking Ocasio-Cortez for being hesitant about having kids because of alleged climate change.

“Is her fiancé aware that he’s not having a son?” Watters asked, pressing forward.

“That’s a question for him,” McEnany replied.

“It’s a classy show. Thank you very much, Kayleigh, for classing it up here,” Watters then said, concluding the humorous segment.

The last time Ocasio-Cortez tweeted about “menstruating persons” was back in September of 2021:

Since then, she’s remained quiet — at least on Twitter — likely because of the massive backlash her anti-women rhetoric produced.

As previously reported, at the time the congresswoman appeared on CNN to talk about the Texas heartbeat abortion law. But in talking about the law, she reduced biological women to demeaning, nonsensical, pseudo-scientific terms like “people who do give birth,” “people who are not cisgender men” and “menstruating persons.”

Early in the interview, she was asked to respond specifically to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s insistence that the Texas heartbeat abortion law wasn’t a burden on women who were impregnated by rape.

During a press conference earlier that day, he’d made it clear that the bill didn’t block rape victims from obtaining an abortion “because obviously, it provides at least six weeks for a person to be able to get an abortion.”

Ocasio-Cortez argued that the remarks were “disgusting” for two reasons, one of which involved so-called “menstruating people.”

“I don’t know if he is familiar with a menstruating person’s body. In fact, I do know that he’s not familiar with a woman — with a female or menstruating person’s body because if he did, he would know that you don’t have six weeks,” she said.

Notice how she started off with the correct terms — “woman” and “female” — but couldn’t resist then switching to pseudo-scientific “woke” terminology. Ironically, she then had the nerve to lecture Abbott about biological science.

“I’m sorry we have to break … down biology 101 on national television, but in case no one has informed him before in our life, six weeks pregnant means two weeks late for your period,” she said.

As noted earlier, the remarks prompted a massive backlash, with critics accusing her of erasing women.

The fiercest criticism came from former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Speaking on Fox News’ “Fox News Primetime,” she laid waste to Ocasio-Cortez’s “fake feminism.”

“AOC, she’s really milking this, isn’t she? She’s such a fake feminist that she would bring up an issue like this and try to use it to make some kind of political point. … She should be embarrassed to even have tried to bring up an issue like that and make her political point. She’s so off-base politically, but off-base even in this analogy or whatever it is that she’s throwing out. She’s milking the whole female thing,” she said.

“And as a real feminist, I’m embarrassed for her. A real feminist is one who knows that they are capable and they are equal. They are capable of doing a lot more than AOC gives women credit for. Yes, we can give life to a child and at the same time pursue education and pursue career and take care of our other children or give a child up for adoption if we do not feel that we can take care of that child,” Palin added.
