‘Take our nation back!’ Trump shreds ‘illegal leaks’ that reportedly imply he may be ‘arrested on Tuesday’

Former President Donald Trump has called for “protest” over reports that he’s scheduled to possibly be indicted and arrested as early as next Tuesday.

“NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK,” he wrote in all-caps on Truth Social early Saturday morning.

“PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” he added.

His remarks about potentially being arrested likely stem from a report that “[l]ocal, state and federal law enforcement and security agencies are preparing for the possibility that [he] will be indicted as early as next week,” according to NBC News.

“Law enforcement agencies are conducting preliminary security assessments, the officials said, and are discussing potential security plans in and around the Manhattan Criminal Court, at 100 Centre Street, in case Trump is charged in connection with an alleged hush money payment to Stormy Daniels and travels to New York to face any charges,” the legacy media outlet reported Friday.

Fox News’s John Roberts reported something similar Friday, except he also spoke about handcuffs and fingerprints.

“We are learning that the Manhattan DA’s office has asked for a meeting with law enforcement ahead of a potential Trump indictment. This is coming to Fox News from a source in the courts. The meeting, which was requested yesterday and has not been set yet, is to discuss logistics for sometime next week, which would mean that they are anticipating an indictment next week,” he said.

“The same sources familiar with the planning said they will go over security preparations in and around the courtroom in lower Manhattan. Secret Service will take the lead in what they will allow or will not allow, the source cautioned, mentioning for instance that the decision to handcuff the former president or not. They will set the tone and escort him into the court room. There will be coordination between all of us, the source said, but we will defer to the Secret Service,” he continued.

Roberts added that, according to Fox News sources, Trump “will still have to be fingerprinted and processed like every other defendant.”

Responding to this particular report, former Trump administration official Stephen Miller tweeted, “We have descended into third world fascist tyranny.”

His sense of gloom, doom, and disgust was shared by many others, including even some folks who admit that they “don’t like” Trump.

Look:

As previously noted, the case pertains to the whole Stormy Daniels affair. Specifically, it’s about how Trump allegedly had his then-lawyer, Michael Cohen, pay Daniels $130,000 to remain quiet about their affair.

“The alleged scheme first came to light years ago, when Trump was still in office, but the investigation has gained new momentum in recent months, with the Manhattan district attorney’s office convening a grand jury to examine the matter,” CBS News notes.

The reporting about a potential indictment comes only days after Daniels herself sat with investigators from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office.

“Stormy responded to questions and has agreed to make herself available as a witness, or for further inquiry if needed,” her attorney, Clark Brewster, wrote on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier this month meanwhile, Cohen testified to a grand jury twice. He’s highly relevant to the case because, according to ABC News, Bragg “is mulling whether to charge Trump with falsifying business records, after the Trump Organization allegedly reimbursed Cohen for the payment then logged the reimbursement as a legal expense.”

That said, some think the timing of Bragg’s potential indictment of Trump is awfully suspicious …
