Stanford University has issued an apology after a federal judge who was invited to speak at the college’s law school was harassed by a left-wing student mob that was led by an “equity” dean in an ugly display of rudeness that brought great embarrassment upon one of the nation’s most prestigious higher learning institutions.
Last Thursday, U.S. Circuit Judge Kyle Duncan, a Trump appointee from the New Orleans-based Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, showed up to deliver his remarks at an event hosted by the school’s Federalist Society when he was subjected to the asinine and disrespectful treatment that has sadly become commonplace on campuses with immature, tantrum-throwing leftists turning out to disrupt, badger and threaten guest speakers whose conservative viewpoints don’t comport with their extremist “woke” ideology.
Normally such disgusting treatment of a federal judge by students would be enough of a blight on the image of a school but Stanford’s public black eye was much worse because of the antics of Tirien Steinbach, the university’s Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion whose inexcusable conduct in joining with the disruptors gave the impression that the lunatics are running the asylum in Palo Alto.
In a Saturday letter signed by Stanford President Marc Tessier-Lavigne and Stanford Law dean Jennifer Martinez, a formal apology was offered up to Judge Duncan for the boorish treatment that he was subjected to as a guest of the university.
Apparently @StanfordLaw wants Judge Duncan to just forget and move on
This “apology” letter does not say how the students or staff will be punished
Nor does it say what Stanford will do to make sure this doesn’t happen again

According to the letter: “We write to apologize for the disruption of your recent speech at Stanford Law School. As has already been communicated to our community, what happened was inconsistent with our policies on free speech, and we are very sorry about the experience you had while visiting our campus.”
“We are very clear with our students that, given our commitment to free expression, if there are speakers they disagree with, they are welcome to exercise their right to protest but not to disrupt the proceedings,” the letter reads. “Our disruption policy states that students are not allowed to ‘prevent the effective carrying out’ of a ‘public event’ whether by heckling or other forms of interruption.”
“In addition, staff members who should have enforced university policies failed to do so, and instead intervened in inappropriate ways that are not aligned with the university’s commitment to free speech,” wrote Tessier-Lavigne and Martinez.
The boorish Steinbach, who was caught on video as she egged on the troublemakers and hijacked the event, was not mentioned by name.

“Your opinions from the bench land as absolute disenfranchisement” of student rights, Steinbach claimed while accusing the respected federal jurist of “tearing the fabric of this community.”
“Do you have something so incredibly important to say,” she asked, that it is worth the “division of these people?” as the unruly students heckled him with chants including “scumbag!” and “you’re a liar!”
Judge Duncan called the disgusting display “dogsh*t” in frank remarks that summed it up perfectly in an interview with the Washington Free Beacon.
“Don’t feel sorry for me,” Duncan said. “I’m a life-tenured federal judge. What outrages me is that these kids are being treated like dogsh*t by fellow students and administrators.”
