Father defends drag performer son who dances in show that reportedly targets kids

The father of a man whose controversial bondage-themed performance for a British cabaret company that puts on drag shows targeting young kids including babies is defending his son’s raunchy exploits after outrage erupted on social media.

Video of one of the Caba Baba Rave events featuring the man, Ben Loader, who was decked out in kinky fetish gear as he dangled like Spiderman from ceiling straps in front of a crowd of children and their parents at the show, caught the attention of Gays Against Groomers, the popular Twitter account that has been at the tip of the spear when it comes to exposing the perverted practice of men dressed up as women sexily prancing about in front of children.

Loader, a performance artist who actually studied at the National Centre for Circus Arts in London, drew the wrong kind of raves when he did his routine in skin-tight black shorts and black, thigh-high spiked boots. Little did he know that he would find himself in the center of a brewing firestorm as public revulsion over the sick spectacles of “family-friendly” drag shows where pathetic excuses for parents drag their impressionable young offspring to witness acts of depravity that would, in saner times, be reserved for discerning adults only.

“I don’t think the criticism he’s received is fair, he’s an artist,” the elder Loader said, according to the Daily Mail.

“I’d imagine these people in the pictures took their babies there. Surely it’s up to the parents what they do, isn’t it?” Loader asked, deflecting criticism of his son to the parents who trundled their kids off to the drag show. “Ben is the most beautiful person in the world, he’s talented and just a fantastic guy.”

Video of the younger Loader has been deemed to be so racy that it has been slapped with a viewer warning by Twitter advising users of the “potentially sensitive nature of the content.

“The parents that take their children to events like this should lose custody of their children, and the companies and people that put them on should be locked up. Absolutely revolting,” Gays Against Groomers said of the posted video of Loader’s performance.

“The company is Caba Baba Rave, and specifically puts these shows on for babies aged 0-2,” Gays Against Groomers pointed out.

The heightened scrutiny thanks to Loader’s lewd circus act drew a predictable response from the company behind the shows – it quickly moved to hide them from the public.

“CABABABARAVE locked down its Instagram & has removed its Facebook page from public view so that you don’t see images like these from their shows,” investigative journalist Andy Ngo noted on Twitter.

“Controversial footage emerges of British cabaret #drag show aimed at young children and their parents,” added Ngo, along with a link to archived material from the now locked-down sites.

“Caba Baba Rave, which has cancelled their Waterloo, London show scheduled on March, 11, also featured half-naked drag, burlesque and ‘BDSM’ acts with ‘filthy’ names,” the Daily Mail reported.

“I don’t think this controversy will stop him. He went to the London School of Circus Arts,” added Steve Loader who is from Cornwall. “I’m really proud of him, we’ve always supported everything he does.”
