‘Buckle up!’ Kari Lake undeterred following court’s rejection of AZ election fraud appeal

Kari Lake is not giving up on her quest to prove Maricopa County defrauded Republican voters in her race against now-Governor Katie Hobbs, vowing to take her case to the Arizona Supreme Court after the Arizona Court of Appeals rejected her request to toss the November election results and hold a new election.

In its Thursday ruling, the appeals court wrote that Lake “presented no evidence that voters whose ballots were unreadable by tabulators at polling places were not able to vote,” according to The Associated Press.

The court also dismissed testimony from a pollster who said that the problems at the polls disenfranchised enough voters to sway the election, calling his conclusions baseless.

Instead of finding intentional misconduct, the court found that the evidence presented supports the conclusion that “voters were able to cast their ballots, that votes were counted correctly, and that no other basis justifies setting aside the election results.”

When the ruling came down against her, Lake took to Twitter, stating, “I told you we would take this case all the way to the Arizona Supreme Court, and that’s exactly what we are going to do. Buckle up, America!”

Investigative journalist and editor-in-chief of UndercoverDC.com, Tracy Beanz, took issue with the court’s decision.

“I don’t want to be presumptuous but Ms. Lake isn’t finished,” she tweeted. “This decision is rife with holes.”

“You’re right,” Lake replied. “We are NOT finished.”

Lake lost to Hobbs by a little more than 17,000 votes, and, as American Wire News reported, she was in January confident that she would prevail.

“I’m going to win this,” she stated at the time.

Earlier that month, she told Addison Smith of One America News, “We have the strongest election lawsuit this country has ever seen; it is in the appellate court, it’s moving forward quickly.”

In a recent interview with commentator Piers Morgan, the fiery former journalist pushed back hard against Morgan’s claim that she lacked evidence of her fraud allegations.

“There’s been no independent corroboration that there was anything fraudulent about this election. In fact, it’s pretty clear that you lost to Katie Hobbs,” he stated.

“There’s a mountain of hard evidence,” Lake argued. “And when we presented it in our trial, the other side didn’t even dispute the evidence.”

Morgan cautioned Lake that “there does come a point when for the future of democracy, you and Donald Trump have to accept at some point you lost an election.”

“Otherwise,” he contended, “the entire system collapses.”

Lake noted that the people of Arizona want her to “keep fighting.”

“I can’t walk 10 feet without an Arizonan saying, ‘I voted for you. Everybody I know voted for you. Our ballot was rejected on Election Day. Please keep fighting for us,'” she said. “I’m fighting for the people of Arizona. And I don’t mean any offense to you, but I frankly don’t give a damn what you think about it. I’m fighting for the people of Arizona.”

On Twitter, while Democrats are being predictably nasty about Lake’s decision to take her case to Arizona’s Supreme Court, her supporters are still cheering her on.

“It must be done,” one user told the determined Republican. “Rooting for you, Kari!”
