Politicians get so caught up in a world of their own making, where myth and reality are distant cousins if related at all, but few ascend to the heights seen by Joe Biden and manage to stick around, let alone be elected president of the United States.
Biden tells tall tales about gangsters named Corn Pop and driving 18-wheelers with such conviction that it seems even HE believes his stories. At the same time, he has a reputation for making false and misleading claims. In fact, it would not be a stretch to call him a serial liar — the first clue Biden is lying is when he declares, “Not a joke!”
With all that in mind, the official POTUS Twitter account shared this doozy over the weekend: “My word as a Biden: I’ve never been more optimistic about America’s future than I am today.”
My word as a Biden: I’ve never been more optimistic about America’s future than I am today.

Now, the odds are slim that the tweet came from the president himself and not some Harvard intern hired to manage Biden’s social media activity. It also comes at a time when Biden is engulfed in a scandal shockingly not related to his son Hunter Biden — at least not directly.
While offering optimism, President Biden is mired in controversy over his handling of classified information. Adding to his troubles is the notion that some in the media are actually covering the story, suggesting the tide may be turning as the nation begins to look toward 2024.
As for his “word as a Biden,” as he has already proven early on in his first year in office, when he gives you his word it might be prudent to prepare for the opposite:
I give you my word as a Biden: When I’m president, I will lead with science, listen to the experts and heed their advice, and always tell you the truth. https://t.co/tIpjW1ch0L

Here’s a quick sampling of responses to “Lying Biden” from Twitter:
The putative president likes to use this phrase “My word as a Biden,” to give the impression that the Bidens have a reputation for integrity and honesty. Just the opposite is true, and Old Joe’s cynical repetition of this phrase is just another example of his addiction to lying. https://t.co/FzSOeMgiwB

Whoever told Gropey Joe to use the “My word as a Biden” schtick needs to be banned from politics. https://t.co/PqYe2xAVMn

There happens to be one person in America that the Biden family is actively working to ensure does not receive President Biden’s name “as a Biden” — his own 4yr old granddaughter, Navy Joan Roberts. https://t.co/Mln4Pz27BO

“My word as a Biden” = “I will continue to exploit my public office for private financial gain – for me and all the other Bidens.”
