Heads explode when Trump talks US intel ‘lowlifes,’ Putin, and likens himself to ‘late great’ Al Capone

Nuance being far from leftists’ forte, former President Donald Trump revisited remarks from 2018 Monday regarding a comparison of the U.S. intelligence community to Russian President Vladimir Putin that melted down anyone with a Ukrainian flag in their bio faster than you can say apologist.

The story of former FBI agent Charles McGonigal, indicted for allegedly colluding with Russia after being an integral part of triggering the Russian collusion narrative against Trump, is still developing, but a recent report presented more supposedly damning evidence. Kash Patel, attorney and former official in then-President Trump’s administration, posted a story Sunday that documented communications between infamous former FBI agent Peter Strzok and McGonigal believed to have been the inception of Russiagate.

Sharing the post that Patel captioned, “Criminals will be Criminals together, especially Strzok at the FBI; we know he had an indicted crook working with him (McGonigal) on Russia Gate- read the receipts,” Trump added his own well-known character to the story by writing, “Remember in Helsinki when a 3rd rate reporter asked me, essentially, who I trusted more, President Putin of Russia, or our ‘Intelligence’ lowlifes. My instinct at the time was that we had really bad people in the form of James Comey, McCabe (whose wife was being helped out by Crooked Hillary while Crooked was under investigation!), Brennan, Peter Strzok (whose wife is at the SEC) & his lover, Lisa Page. Now add McGonigal & other slime to the list. Who would you choose, Putin or these Misfits?”

The remark was a callback to a 2018 joint press conference in Helsinki, Finland held by Trump and Putin where, at the time, the president had offered more trust in his Russian counterpart than members of his own Justice Department.

He had suggested there was “no reason” to believe that Russia had interfered in the 2016 presidential election and that Putin could be considered more reliable before stating at a later point, “I have full faith and support for America’s great intelligence agencies. Always have. And I have felt very strongly that while Russia’s actions had no impact at all on the outcome of the election, let me be totally clear in saying that — and I’ve said this many times — I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place.”

Clarifications at the time and the likelihood that Trump found Putin’s forthright intent more trusting than the duplicitous behavior of members of the intelligence community regularly lying through their teeth only to be outed later, still weren’t enough to satisfy those suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome who exploded over the post on Truth Social.

Trump wasn’t done, though, as he went on with a follow-up post decrying his being treated worse than even notorious mobster Al Capone.

“Because of the Weaponization, Targeting, and Unprecedented Harassment, I believe that I have more lawyers working for me on this Corrupt Law Enforcement induced Bull…. than any human being in the history of our Country, including even the late great gangster, Alphonse Capone!” he wrote. “This is all being done for POLITICAL REASONS in that I am leading everybody, Republicans & Democrats, by big numbers in the Polls. The Disinformation Specialists are at it again, full time. The Fake News is their TOOL!”

Feigning stupidity almost as well as Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) who claimed to be completely unfamiliar with what was or wasn’t considered antisemitic stereotypes over the weekend, or thoroughly lacking reading comprehension, leftists took the post as admiration for Capone and seethed accordingly.
