Trump accused of ‘sexist attack’ for ripping Jessica Tarlov’s ‘grating and unendurable’ voice

Former President Donald Trump offered an apparently random review of Fox News’ top-rated afternoon show “The Five,” taking great exception to Jessica Tarlov, the liberal member of the quintet.

Referring to Tarlov as “wacky,” Trump criticized her presentation and her “grating and unendurable” voice, which was enough for the liberal media to label his critique as a “sexist attack.”

“REVIEW: I really like The Five on Fox News, especially the hosts, with the exception of wacky Jessica Tarlov, who is absolutely terrible. Her facts are knowingly wrong, her jittery presentation is horrendous and, forgive me, her VOICE is grating and unendurable,” Trump wrote. “Juan Williams was terrible, but better than her. I know the show is doing well, but no thanks to Jessica. I find her impossible to take in large doses, & put out this ‘REVIEW’ because it is important to expose Fake News, & Fake People!”

Tarlov was critical of Trump on Thursday’s show for having classified materials at his Mar-a-Lago resort home and claimed that the former president is “personally responsible for 30 percent” of the current national debt — which is factually incorrect. It’s likely that this is what prompted his remarks.

Given the Trump-hating media’s standard here, it is no longer permissible to criticize female TV personalities without being labeled a sexist.

Mediate listed Tarlov’s bio on the network to report that she is “an accomplished and well-educated Democratic strategist who joined Fox News seven years ago to provide the liberal point of view.”

Which apparently means she is not “wacky” or “terrible,” and that her voice is not grating.

“Tarlov also serves as the Vice President of Research and Consumer Insight for Bustle Digital Group. Prior to this, she served as a senior strategist with Schoen Consulting, where she advised domestic and international clients on messaging strategies for more than five years and worked as a democratic pollster,” the bio reads. “A graduate of Bryn Mawr College with a B.A. in History, Tarlov holds two master’s degrees in Political Science and Public Policy as well as a Ph.D. in Government from the London School of Economics and Political Science.”

As is often the case with Trump, he may not be too far off base with his take on Tarlov, according to social media users. There certainly seems to be a consensus on her voice.
