NBA takes Pride Night to next level with halftime drag show, many parents not amused

Fans who shelled out their hard-earned money for a basketball game between two NBA contenders were treated to a drag queen show sandwiched between the two halves of action on the hardwood as the “woke” left’s conquest of American culture has made it virtually impossible to escape from the in-your-face promotion of the LGBTQ+ agenda which has seeped into every aspect of society.

During Wednesday’s game between the hometown Milwaukee Bucks and the visiting Denver Nuggets at Fiserv Forum, the team celebrated Pride Night with a colorful performance of biological males dressed up as women in one of the drag shows that have become a fixture of modern times which, despite their controversial nature, enjoy corporate support as well as the full and unwavering backing of professional sports leagues that now serve as propaganda vehicles for left-wing ideology.

Presented by the Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin health network, the first 10,000 fans in attendance received a colorful Pride beanie and a special package was offered that included a “Bucks Pride” scarf along with a ticket to the game.

The team promoted the very special event by trotting out players on social media with the message “Be fearless and show us your pride, welcome to Pride Night.”

“Join the Milwaukee Bucks as we proudly celebrate Pride Night presented by the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin health network. Enjoy access to the Pride Night activations and the post-game party at MECCA,” the team wrote on its website of the drag show and postgame party at a local sports bar.

Videos of the drag show were posted on Twitter.

While the halftime entertainment for a captive audience was cheered by some, others were quick to point out that there were children in attendance and that such fare may be inappropriate for impressionable youngsters. And according to conservative talk radio host Dan O’Donnell, the parents of a middle school band that was to be performing at the game were unaware of the drag show.

“Multiple parents tell me that they believe the District did not know that tomorrow night would be Pride Night when they sent out permission slips back in November, but are worried that their children are now performing at an event that goes against their value systems,” the host tweeted prior to the game.

He later updated followers that the school district had confirmed that teachers were not aware of the drag show and that a message had been sent to the parents of band members explaining the situation.

As could be expected, the Bucks’ decision to promote the homosexual lifestyle drew a strong response from many on Twitter.

Despite the team’s halftime virtue signaling, Bucks fans wouldn’t go home unsatisfied after watching their hometown heroes thump a shorthanded Denver team that was missing reigning MVP Nikola Jokic and several other starters, riding star power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo’s big night of 33 points and 14 rebounds to a 107-99 win over the Western Conference leaders.
