Forget something? Dept of Health eager to urge trans people to screen for cervical cancer, snub women

Washington State’s left-wing Department of Health was ratioed five times over on Twitter late last week for erasing the existence of women.

The erasure happened while the department was promoting cervical cancer screenings on behalf of Cervical Cancer Awareness Month.

“Transmasculine persons with a cervix should talk to their doctor about #CervicalCancer screening and the #HPVvax,” the department wrote in a tweet.

A so-called “transmasculine” person with a cervix is a “transgender male,” meaning they’re basically a biological woman who identifies as male.

Look at the tweet below:

As of Sunday morning, the tweet boasted only a paltry 123 likes but over 1,000 comments, virtually all of them negative.

What was extraordinary about the tweet, critics said, is that it didn’t mention women once, never mind that only women possess a cervix.

The WA Dept. of Health’s erasure of women comes amid a wider effort throughout the Democrat Party to prioritize the needs of so-called “transgender men” and “transgender women” over the needs of biological women.

It’s an effort that’s led to women being erased throughout the culture — so much so that Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wasn’t even able to define a woman when asked to do so during her confirmation hearings last year.

“Can you provide a definition of the word woman?” Sen. Marsha Blackburn, a Republican, asked her during one such hearing in March.

“No, I can’t,” Jackson replied.

“You can’t?” Blackburn asked incredulously.

“I’m not a biologist,” the then-Supreme Court nominee replied.

But it shouldn’t take a biology degree to recognize that a woman is an adult female, plain and simple.

Listen:

The erasure of women has led to tangible consequences, particularly in the realm of sports, where biological females throughout the country have been forced to compete athletically against stronger, biologically male competitors.

Take Chelsea Mitchell, a former Connecticut high school track star whose stardom was erased almost overnight once men started competing against her in 2017.

“Four times, Chelsea Mitchell qualified as the fastest female. Yet she walked away without the gold medal, without the public recognition she deserved, and without the record books rightly reflecting her accomplishment because she lost to one or two male athletes in the race,” her attorney told the Washington Examiner last month.

Mitchell is one of four women who’ve sued the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference over its pro-transgender policy.

“The four women in the lawsuit estimate their female peers have lost over 86 opportunities to qualify for higher levels of competition since the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference changed its policy,” the Examiner notes.

“One specific championship stood out in Mitchell’s mind. … In 2019, Mitchell ran the 55-meter indoor track state championship in 7.23 seconds, a stunning time. Yet she still only managed to finish third overall against the two biological men on the team.”

Yet had the two competed against other biological males, they would have reportedly landed in 140th place.

Learn more of Mitchell’s story below:

“It’s hard to explain the feeling that no matter how talented you are, how hard you train, how much you practice, how much you want to win, you’ve already lost before the competition even begins. Losing builds character, but only if the competition is fair,” she says in the clip above.

But because the Biden administration has classified gender identity as a protected class, there’s not much anybody can do about all this right now.

“This is an increasing problem across the country. We’re aware of males having competed or currently competing in women’s sports in several states and in a variety of sports,” Mitchell’s attorney said.

“The Biden administration is clearly making a choice to stand with activists instead of female athletes. As we can see from all these states, girls lose when you reinterpret sex to include gender identity and allow males to come in women’s sports, locker rooms, and elsewhere.”
