Classified docs discovered in Biden’s private office allegedly included materials related to Ukraine, Iran, UK

President Biden is refusing to answer questions after classified documents related to Ukraine, Iran, and the UK were found in a private office at a DC think tank that he utilized as vice president six years ago during the Obama administration.

Ten classified documents were found by Biden’s attorneys including US intelligence memos and briefing materials that covered Ukraine, Iran, and the United Kingdom, according to  CNN. The documents are dated between 2013 and 2016, according to a source.

They were reportedly found in three or four boxes that also contained unclassified papers that fall under the Presidential Records Act, according to CNN. The leftist media outlet was quick to note that the vast majority of boxes in the office contained Biden family documents, including materials about Beau Biden’s funeral arrangements and condolence letters. Brings to mind the FBI seizing Trump’s personal items such as passports, financial documents, etc.

The documents were discovered on Nov. 2, six days before the midterm elections but Biden’s attorneys just now revealed them. CNN claims that a personal lawyer for Biden was closing the downtown D.C. office that he used as part of his work with the University of Pennsylvania when he saw a manila folder that was labeled “personal,” opened it, and noticed there were classified documents inside. The lawyer allegedly closed the folder and called the National Archives to report it.

After contacting the National Archives, Biden’s legal team ostensibly turned over several boxes out of an abundance of caution, even though many of the boxes contained personal materials, according to CNN’s unnamed source.

The Democrats and leftist media are attempting to dismiss the whole debacle, claiming now that it is common for classified documents to be misplaced in an administration but that is not what they were saying when the FBI raided former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence, seizing documents in a thuggish, unprecedented raid. Trump had been cooperating with them and was subjected to that indignity purportedly because he is hated and feared by the left.

The former president ostensibly has executive privilege when it comes to classified documents. A vice president does not have any such power, so excusing Biden in this instance, especially when the documents were misplaced for six years, just doesn’t pass the smell test.

Attorney General Merrick Garland has assigned the US attorney in Chicago to investigate the matter.

During a summit with world leaders, a reporter shouted a question at Biden about the unearthed classified documents. The president looked down and ignored the question. He has not yet made any public comment about them.

On Tuesday morning, Biden met with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada, and both commented on the summit. As aides thanked reporters and escorted them out, more questions were shouted at the president concerning the documents. He once again ignored them.

Damage control followed as White House counsel Richard Sauber said in a statement, “The discovery of these documents was made by the president’s attorneys. The documents were not the subject of any previous request or inquiry by the Archives. Since that discovery, the president’s personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justice in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives.”
