Leftists come together to gleefully spew filth at Ashli Babbitt’s mother after arrest

Deceased Jan. 6th rioter Ashli Babbitt’s mother, Micki Witthoeft, 58, was arrested by the U.S. Capitol Police while protesting her daughter’s death this Friday, prompting mockery and insults from the “loving” left.

The arrest came after a group of protesters, including Witthoeft, allegedly blocked traffic on Independence Avenue, according to a statement from the Capitol Police.

“The group did not have a permit to demonstrate on Capitol Grounds. Officers established a clear police line to prevent the group from moving further west on Independence Avenue, SW. The officers and officials told the group to get out of the road or the group would be arrested. The sidewalk was open,” the statement reads.

“A woman in the group was given multiple warnings to get out of the road. Instead of getting out of the road, the woman refused to leave, turned around with her hands behind her back, and asked to be arrested,” it continues.

That woman was Witthoeft, who can be seen below proudly proclaiming during her arrest that the “Capitol Police suck a–.”

Watch:

As noted earlier, Witthoeft’s arrest triggered massive glee and mockery from the “love trumps hate” zealots of the left.

“Ashli Babbit‘s mom getting arrested at the Capitol on the second anniversary of the #J6 riot Is all the schadenfreude I needed today #FAFO #InsurrectionistLoser #Yoinked #ByeMicki,” one particularly nasty Antifa fascist tweeted.

Appearing on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” later that evening, Witthoeft’s son-in-law and Babbitt’s husband, Aaron Babbitt, was not equally amused. Indeed, according to him, something about the arrest seemed totally off.

Speaking with eponymous host Tucker Carlson, he explained that his mother-in-law had been in D.C. for weeks protesting without a single arrest.

“A little backstory on that: Mickey’s actually been in D.C. since the beginning of August. She’s been there everyday living in that area, sitting outside the jail at night, and protesting outside the Capitol. So I’m not going to say it’s a coincidence that she was finally arrested on January 6, but that doesn’t really smell right,” he said.

Listen:

Babbitt also told Carlson which Republicans — only a handful of  them — have tried to help him get justice for his wife’s “murder.”

The “small” list of Republicans included now-former Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., Troy Nehls, R-Texas, and “a couple other ones.”

Concluding his thoughts on Fox News, Babbitt spoke about continuing the battle for justice.

“For me personally, I mean, I’ve learned over these last two years it’s never going to get easier losing her. It just gets a little bit different every day. And I’m just in full force motive to continue my fight for Ashli and that’s that’s what I will continue to do,” the widower said.

As previously reported, Ashli Babbitt was killed when a Capitol Police Officer opened fire during the Jan. 6th riot.

The officer has claimed he’d feared for his life, and indeed, the Capitol Police Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) ultimately “determined the officer’s conduct was lawful and within Department policy, which says an officer may use deadly force only when the officer reasonably believes that action is in the defense of human life, including the officer’s own life, or in the defense of any person in immediate danger of serious physical injury.”

But critics have long argued that Babbitt, who was unarmed, had posed no threat to the officer and that he’d overreacted.
