U.S. Rep. Dan Crenshaw was slammed after he likened GOP holdouts to Kevin McCarthy’s elevation to Speaker of the House to terrorists during a radio show interview, excessively harsh rhetoric directed at members of his own party as well as a flagrant violation of Ronald Reagan’s “11th commandment” to speak no ill of a fellow Republican.
Not content to merely smear his congressional colleagues as being the equivalent of ISIS and al Qaeda, Crenshaw also accused their daring to engage in the democratic process of taking hostages, which he did in a video posted to Twitter this week.
One of those who spoke out against the Texas Republican for invoking DNC talking points was Fox News ratings king Tucker Carlson who tore into him during a segment on Wednesday’s edition of “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
“Over the past few years, pretty much every part of the war on terror has been turned against the domestic political enemies of the neocons,” he said. “So now they’re just coming out and telling you what they told you about Iraq, either you’re with us or you’re against us, you’re on the side of light or darkness, you’re good or evil.”
“What you just saw is the snarling face of the donor class,” he said of Crenshaw, whom he called a surrogate for McCarthy.

Carlson, who had previously derisively referred to the bellicose lawmaker as “eyepatch McCain,” a reference to the now-deceased warmongering Senator John McCain, truly struck a nerve with Crenshaw taking to Twitter to clap back.
“Unclutch your pearls. It’s a figure of speech. You can’t insult, slander, and hold everyone hostage with no way out – and not expect me to punch back,” he huffed. “Grow thicker skin.”

Crenshaw soon discovered that Carlson isn’t the only one who feels that way, taking heavy fire from Twitter users who expressed their disgust over his despicable conduct.
Have you ever called a Democrat a terrorist, you corrupt hack?

You can’t expect to call 20 members of your own party “terrorists” for exercising their right to vote for leadership and not expect Tucker to punch back.
Grow thicker skin. Or maybe just stop being a jackass.

When the political pressure hits a certain level, you consistently make the wrong call, at least in the eyes of a hell of a lot of voters who had very high hopes for you. This reply of yours here is 180 degrees from the kind of leader we thought you might be.

I thought John McCain would never be surpassed in terms of traitorous lunatic behavior but you’re giving him a run for the () money
Looking forward to your inevitable CNN contributorship where you passionately argue for every war and we all don’t watch or care

You’re an arrogant joke.

Whatever you did to get bought… whatever video they showed you of yourself doing whatever it was… the personality change is always so obvious. The smugness always overrides and obscures what used to be actual integrity.
— Chuck Huber (@Chuck_Huber) January 5, 2023
A figure of speech that has been used over the last 2 years by every Democrat pundit toward one side of the aisle because that side doesn’t agree with them. Sounds familiar one side can’t get the votes they are required to by LAW and are now throwing a temper tantrum.

It’s not a figure of speech to call people terrorists. You’re just bitter that your lifelong plan of following the Bush/McCain model, which was about to come to fruition in the mid-2010s, was undone in an instant by actual conservatives. Go cry to your warmongering donors.

Crenshaw – a former Navy SEAL who is seen by many as a major disappointment as a lawmaker – also dumped on those resisting the quick coronation of McCarthy as “petty” nobodies in a seething rant earlier this week.

Crenshaw and the donor class will likely soon get their way with reports of an imminent deal with the “terrorists” clearing the way for McCarthy to become speaker.
