The bloc of eighteen Republican senators who joined forces with their Democrat colleagues to deliver President Joe Biden a huge Christmas gift, as well as a major political victory by voting for the gargantuan $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill, also approved a nasty surprise in the form of millions of dollars to target gun owners as the regime’s war on the Second Amendment is set to go to an entirely new level.
The Senate Republicans who were led by Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell had no time to properly read and digest the pork-stuffed 4,000 + page monstrosity, let alone all of the sneaky provisions included by Democrats, and simply signed off on the massive package that while ostensibly intended to keep the government funded, was filled with special interest giveaways and wish list items to further facilitate the political left’s radical overhaul of America as they scurried to leave the nation’s capital for their holiday celebrations.
While the RINOs and their staffers couldn’t be bothered by the devil in the details, the pro-Second Amendment advocacy organization Gun Owners of America did invest the time and effort to go through the bill and put out a fact sheet detailing the funding allocated for the ongoing assault on law-abiding gun owners.
🚨 Congress JUST passed a $1.7 trillion spending bill 225-201 that included 12 #guncontrol provisions with the help of 18 anti-gun @SenateGOP & 9 @HouseGOP. Recently re-elected Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado noted the presence of money for red flag laws which are a recipe for abuse as well as a back door avenue to gun confiscation.
“Congress is allocating more than $700 million towards red flag laws in this omnibus bill,” she tweeted. “No one who votes for this monstrosity can ever say they care about the Second Amendment again.”

The nonprofit group also posted a clip of Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee’s exuberance over the anti-gun measures in the omnibus.
“Anti-gunners are raving about the funding for Gun control in the spending package, and 18 Senate Republicans rolled over and handed it to them!” Gun Owners of America tweeted, shaming the RINOs who handed it to them on a silver platter.

If many of the names are familiar, it’s because most of them were also on board with the last big push for increased restrictions on gun ownership this summer as Democrats moved in a cynical and opportunistic manner to exploit the horrific mass murder of 19 young children and two adult teachers by a deranged gunman at a Uvalde, Texas elementary school in May.
In June, fifteen GOP senators led by McConnell allied with Democrats to pass the most stringent new restrictions on the Second Amendment in three decades including the red flag laws that were such an important centerpiece of the anti-gun crusade that the regime enlisted the star power of actor Matthew McConaughey – a Uvalde native – who played the role of a salesman in a trip to Washington, D.C. to lobby lawmakers.
In addition to the Senate betrayers, nine GOP House members also voted for the anti-gun money including Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger who were both scorched by their hatred for former President Donald J. Trump and will soon be out of Congress.
