Turns out, there are plenty of Americans enjoying watching the left squirm upon having a level playing field thrust upon them by new Twitter chief Elon Musk, save for a few on the right looking to prove how principled they are by objecting to liberals getting a taste of their own medicine — this being the usual suspects who insist on employing Marquess of Queensberry Rules as they get bludgeoned with a chain.
U.S. Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., is among the former, as he was highly complimentary of Musk’s efforts to preserve free speech on Twitter, which the billionaire has equated to the public square. this week, praising his courage in releasing the “Twitter Files” info, which has gone to select journalists in chunks over the last couple of weeks.
The Republican senator was commenting on U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s one-sided climate change documentary tanking at the box office when he said the movie makes him “appreciate Elon Musk that much more.”
“That’s why I appreciate what Elon Musk has done so much,” Kennedy told Fox News host Sean Hannity. “He’s taken a very courageous stand for the First Amendment.”
“They’re beating on him like he stole Christmas,” he continued. “But he’s tough. He’s tough as a pine knot. And the man’s got guts. He’s got oranges the size of beach balls.”

Kennedy then mocked the left labeling all the complaints conservatives have had about Twitter being biased against them as conspiracy theories — complaints that the Twitter Files have largely confirmed.
“And thanks to Elon Musk — thanks to Elon Musk, we’ll have to get some new conspiracy theories because the old ones turned out all to be true,” the senator said. “They told us that they weren’t censoring on Twitter and that it was all a conspiracy theory. Well, Elon Musk has demonstrated otherwise and I just want to give a tip of the hat to him.”
