America has lost its moral center: Trump is attacked without mercy while Obama skates

Obama and Trump represent the two poles in contemporary American thought. Obama is the standard bearer for all the people who dislike America and American values. His hatred of America has been clear from the beginning. He brags about it. Obama was the first president who hates his country. Trump, on the other hand, champions American values and the Constitution. Trump’s rise to national prominence can be attributed to Obama. Without Obama’s hatred of our country, there would be no Trump.

If you wanted to destroy the US from within, you would be well advised to go after the value system that supports it. For eight long years, we watched as Barack Obama did his best to dismantle those values—respect for individual rights, law and order, meritocracy, private property, equality of opportunity, strong borders. Breaking his sworn oath to defend the Constitution, Obama did everything he could to expand the power of government at the expense of individual liberty.

Obama weaponized the IRS against conservative opponents. His Justice Department and FBI conspired to protect Hillary Clinton from the justice she so richly deserved. Obama strove to “destroy America’s essence,” says American Thinker, “that commitment to liberty that makes her unique in this world.” This is what we should expect from the man who promised, “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.” Instead of being castigated for lying to the American people, Obama has been idolized and remains a powerful influence in the Democratic Party.

Donald Trump did a remarkable job of reversing the damage done by Obama. Trump restored the economy, lowered unemployment for minorities, took us out of the Paris Accord, made us energy independent, stabilized conditions on the southern border, enhanced peace in the Middle East, and rebuilt the military. In spite of all this, he has been the object of unremitting attacks from the Left and its senior partners—the Justice Department, the media, Hollywood, academia, and Big Tech. The attacks began the minute Trump descended the escalator at Trump Tower and continue to this day.

While Trump endeavored to bring the country together, the Democratic Party under Obama made “divisiveness” into a house guest. The most successful accomplishment of the Democrats is what author Mark Levin calls the “balkanization” of society. The Democratic Party—under the leadership of Obama—fomented division and hatred after promising just the opposite. Instead of making everyone feel they are part of a unified American social structure, the Obama presidency played into the leftist strategy of “divide and conquer.”

The Democrats use their perverted version of “diversity,” says Mark Levin, to exploit discontented elements in American society and to divide people against themselves. After eight years of Obama, race relations are worse than ever and the country is on the verge of civil war.

Obama said that our democracy depends on people voting for Democrats, adding that he wants to restore “honesty and decency” in government. This is pure hypocrisy from a man who has shown contempt for the Constitution, a man who weaponized the powers of the federal government against his political opponents with the IRS targeting conservatives and selective prosecution of people like Dinesh D’Souza.

“Obama created a climate in which the potentially criminal misuse of the DOJ and the FBI, as currently being unraveled, was not just acceptable but perhaps encouraged,” wrote Monica Crowley in The Hill, “thereby giving rise to what could be the most dangerous scandal in American history.”

Not only did Obama set the stage for Trump, he also set the stage for Biden. The difference is that whereas Obama is ideological, Biden is pragmatic. His interest is power. He will subvert the Constitution in order to get it. Biden is taking us further in the direction of tyranny as he mercilessly goes after his political opponents. Armed paramilitaries have invaded the homes of dozens of Trump supporters—and even Trump himself.

In spite of clear evidence of Obama’s efforts at subversion, he is glorified and considered by many as the savior of democracy. The University of Illinois gave him an award for ethics in government. How easy it is to fool the American public. There are two conclusions to be drawn from this: (1) Voters have lost their grounding in political reality. Millions of Americans can’t discern the difference between a president who tried to take down the country from a president who tried to restore it. (2) The US has abdicated its sense of political morality—its appreciation of right and wrong. The result is an Orwellian system where false is true and the Left can get away with the destruction of America.
