Unhinged fall out over Sinema’s Dem departure does not disappoint: ‘Still great at being the f—g worst’

Leftists exploded in rage and shock when Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema announced on Friday that she was leaving the Democratic Party and registering as an Independent with many claiming she was never really a Democrat, to begin with.

Sinema herself claims she has never been a good fit for either of the two primary parties and that her constituents know her and appreciate her independence.

Currently, the Democrats hold a razor-thin majority in the Senate after winning Georgia. Other Independents include Angus King of Maine and Bernie Sanders of Vermont who caucus with Democrats. Sinema has flatly stated that she will not caucus with Republicans, according to Fox News. She may still join the Democrats on that front although she may find that she is no longer welcome. This will certainly cut further into the Democrats’ tiny majority in the Senate.

Democrats, media talking heads, and political commentators all savaged Sinema over her move. Democratic operative Adam Parkhomenko fuming railed, “I see Kyrsten Sinema is still great at being the f***ing worst.”

A long line of leftists chimed in with similar sentiments but it’s a good bet that Sinema knew it was coming.

MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan snarked, “In the most shocking, surprising, and unexpected news in modern American political history, Senator Kyrsten Sinema is leaving the Democratic Party, which makes sense because 1) she was never really a Democrat, and 2) she can’t win a Dem primary in 2024. So Sinema being Sinema…”

That was followed by the perpetually unhinged former MSNBC host Keith Olbermann, who claimed at one time he dated the Arizona senator, blasting her on Twitter, “You are ethically unfit to continue serving as a United States Senator – manipulative, deceptive, messianic, without principles. I urge you to resign your office immediately.”

Continuing with the MSNBC hate-fest, analyst Brittany Packnett Cunningham said it was “confirmation that she is the worst.”

“Kyrsten Sinema switched to being an independent because she was never really a Dem and couldn’t survive an Arizona Primary. She also waited until after the GA runoffs so the Dems can’t celebrate 51 anymore. None of this is surprising but it is confirmation that she is the worst,” she tweeted.

Far-left activist Charlotte Clymer spewed, “Her own greed and narcissism is her political party.”

“Sinema has been planning this move for years. She’s been openly moving toward this with every hypocritical, self-serving move she’s made, from climate change to the filibuster. This has been the most cynical marketing effort in American politics and the worst kept secret in D.C.,” she wrote, intimating that Sinema at some point would join a Republican national ticket.

According to FiveThirty Eight, Sinema voted with President Biden 93 percent of the time. But that is not enough for the left. Fall in lockstep or go home, evidently.

Other Democrats and wannabe leftists joined the parade.

“Obvious point but Sinema was almost certainly going to draw a primary challenge and was going to have a very tough race,” MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes said in a tweet.

“We don’t actually know what’s going on in the mind of Kyrsten Sinema, but sometimes we can look at her and we can ask ourselves: What’s she thinking?” MSNBC anchor Joe Scarborough commented on “Morning Joe.”

“She is less of an independent and more of an enigma,” CNN political contributor Van Jones remarked on “CNN This Morning,” and then called her a “confounding political presence.”

“What do you stand for and what do you stand against?” he added, and then accused her of “just gumming up” the Democratic Party.

Sinema sat down for an interview with CNN anchor Jake Tapper and he warned her that the Democrats would call her “every name in the book.”

“They’re going to call you traitor, an ingrate,” he told her.

Sinema also wrote an op-ed in the Arizona Republic that contended she was “declaring” her independence from “the broken partisan system in Washington.”

When politicians are more focused on denying the opposition party a victory than they are on improving Americans’ lives, the people who lose are everyday Americans,” she stated.

The White House released a statement claiming they were confident that Sinema would continue to help Democrats in the Senate.
