Lori Lightfoot’s ‘sick of this sh**’ rant over Colorado bar murders comes back like a fast boomerang!

A gunman killed five people and injured more than 2 dozen more at an LGBTQ nightclub Saturday night in Colorado Springs, Colo., and while the gunman was captured the motive behind the heinous act is still unknown. Not that the left allowed that to get in the way of immediately politicizing the attack to advance its pro-transgender narrative.

And while Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot would be well advised to sit out any reaction to gun violence given the weekly carnage in the city she allegedly runs, the Democrat jumped in anyway and would get lit up for her troubles.

Interestingly, the lesbian mayor didn’t capitalize on the LGBTQ narrative adopted by most on the left, opting instead to focus on gun violence.

“I’m sick of this sh-t. How many people need to be murdered? How many lives torn apart? Until it actually stops? We don’t have to live like this. And we don’t have to die like this,” Lightfoot tweeted.

Coarse vulgarity is nothing new for this politician, as seen over the summer at a Pride event where Lightfoot screamed from the stage, “F–k Clarence Thomas!”

As for gun violence, we know that there were 618 victims were killed in Chicago in 2022. We know this because a hometown newspaper, the Chicago Sun-Times keeps a running tally of the death toll. The total is on pace to come in below the 2021 death toll — the city’s deadliest year since the 1990s. Chicago’s homicide rate is not the highest in the nation when you account for the population level, but it is much higher than in New York or Los Angeles, according to Chicago Business.

Having some of the toughest gun laws in the nation, Chicago also stands as a beacon that gun laws do little to keep firearms out of the hands of criminals.
