According to a newly released report, it appears the extraordinary rise in the number of transgender people in America isn’t entirely organic but rather partly manufactured for profit and power.
Released by the American Principles Project Foundation (APPF) and written by Pedro L Gonzalez, the associate editor at Chronicles, the report highlights all the moneyed parties, both on the left and the right, that have involved themselves in promoting transgenderism.
“There is a lot of money to be made from transgender patients, who are, in fact, repeat customers by necessity,” the report reads.
“The amount of money moving through corporations, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), political action committees (PACs), and governments is staggering; the number of powerful individuals involved is myriad and includes Republicans and Democrats,” it adds.
Today, @approject published my report on the ideology and interests behind transgenderism. The amount of money involved is staggering; the number of powerful individuals involved is many and includes Republicans and Democrats🧵1/ https://t.co/NFRttsRlrZ

My report is a broad but concise overview of the issue based on five Ws and one H: who, what, when, where, why, and how. The sheer immensity of what I call the “transgender leviathan” is, in some ways, unprecedented relative to the size of the group it claims to represent. 2/

There are so many PACs and NGOs and donors involved that it might be easier to create a list of power entities that aren’t involved. This is not an exhaustive report, but it does provide a snapshot of the problem. 3/

There are generally two motives driving the normalization of transgenderism: ideology and interest, or those who are true believers and those who see transgenderism as an avenue for increased profit and power. 4/

However, regardless of motive the result is the same: a society that lives by lies, the undermining of the family, and a radical reimagining of the relationship between the individual and their body and the citizen and state. 5/

Transitioning has created an extremely profitable market with lifetime consumers. The global market valuation for sex reassignment surgery is expected to exceed $1.5 billion by 2026, according to an analysis by Global Market Insights. 6/

“Transitioning has created an extremely profitable market with lifetime consumers. The global market valuation for sex reassignment surgery is expected to exceed $1.5 billion by 2026, according to an analysis by Global Market Insights,” Gonzalez noted.
As an example of all the money involved, the report cites the case of transgender woman Elle Bradford.
“Bradford paid around $30,000 for ‘gender confirmation surgery’ and roughly the same amount for facial feminization surgery, plus a breast augmentation surgery that runs between $5,000 and $10,000. Hormone therapy costs at least $1,500 per year, in Bradford’s experience, who plans to be a lifelong user, as is common with transgender people,” the report reads.
“Given that the average life expectancy of a biological male in the United States is roughly 78 years, that comes out to hundreds of thousands of dollars just for hormone therapy. However, the mortality rate among transgender people is generally much higher than in the average population, meaning a shorter life expectancy,” it continues.
As another example, the report cites the costs involved with Lupron, a popular puberty blocker.
“Each monthly injection of Lupron can cost between $1,100 to $2,500 for patients without insurance. The estimated cost out of pocket for a three-month kit of Lupron is about $9,500.84. Financial records show that Lupron has generated more than $5 billion in domestic net revenues since 2013,” the report notes.
Lupron, the “puberty blocker” given to children, is a chemical castration drug that has been given to sex offenders for that purpose. That’s a fact. “Top surgery” is a double mastectomy performed on physically healthy young girls. Another fact.

The report further notes that LuPron’s manufacturer, the pharmaceutical company AbbVie, has spent nearly $60 million on lobbying both Republicans and Democrats since 2013.
“According to the National Institute on Money in Politics, AbbVie has hired 169 different lobbyists in the last decade across 31 states. Among its top payees is Ballard Partners, a lobbying firm with close ties to the Republican Party and former President Donald Trump,” the report reads.
“In terms of state politics, in California, AbbVie has donated to candidates like State Sen. Scott Wiener, a San Francisco Democrat. … In Texas, among AbbVie’s top recipients for donations from 2015 until now are two Republicans: Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, who have also taken money from PACs connected to pediatric gender-modification clinics,” it continues.
That said, the report makes certain to note that Democrats are the “biggest political beneficiary” when it comes to the transgender industry.
To be sure, Democrats are the biggest beneficiaries of giving related to LGBT issues like transgenderism. In the 2020 election cycle, Open Secrets data show groups in this space spent $6.9 million supporting Democrats and only $79,800 on Republicans. 24/

Indeed, during the 2020 election, groups and companies like AbbVie spent a whopping $6.9 million supporting Democrats — $1.8 million of which went directly to the “big guy” — but only $79,800 supporting Republicans.
“On average, donations to Democrat candidates were larger than those received by Republicans: $7,274 to $1,765 in the House, and $47,118 to $291 in the Senate, respectively,” the report notes.
But it’s not just politicians getting paid, the report notes. So are ostensible doctors like Dr. Peter A. Lee, who “received $322,469 between 2013 to 2018 from AbbVie to travel around the U.S. to talk about Lupron.”
