Conservative commentator Candace Owens has rattled liberal cages before with her provocative statements and has done it again with a suggestion that Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband not only knew his attacker but that he may have been a passenger in his wrecked Porsche during a Memorial Day DUI incident.
On the latest edition of her podcast, Owens talked of inconsistent media reporting on what happened between 82-year-old Paul Pelosi and 42-year-old David DePape which led to police being called to respond to an incident that ended with the investment wizard being hospitalized with a fractured skull after he was struck in the head with a hammer by his assailant inside of his home in an exclusive San Francisco neighborhood.
“I mean, it might be relevant that Paul Pelosi, who we’re supposed to believe is a victim and had his house broken into, opened the door and told police that he was fine, Right? It might be relevant to some of these lingering questions that we have,” Owens said, referring to the report by NBC’s Miguel Almaguer that Mr. Pelosi answered the door when the cops showed up, a bombshell that was quickly scrubbed by the network.
“My question would be, was Paul Pelosi maybe at the bar with this guy? Did he invite him over for a little late-night cocktail and things got a little haywire? That story would make sense to me, right? It’s a little bizarre that the glass shards when you’re looking at them, apparently this is a break-in, but the glass shards are all on the outside,” she said, pointing out pictures that seem to be inconsistent with a break-in at the Pelosi residence.
“But to ask these questions would make me a conspiracy theorist, not a journalist,” she continued. “A question that every well-meaning journalist should be asking themselves. I don’t know. We’re never gonna be able to find out, at least not until midterms are over, because at all costs, they must bury the story, and we may not find out beyond that.”
“We are told that there was somebody else in the car with Paul Pelosi when he got his DUI. We don’t know who it is. Maybe it was David DePape himself,” Owens said. “David Depape by the way, that’s the name of the assailant who did in fact hit Paul Pelosi with a hammer. I’m not sure why he did it, where did he get the hammer?”
“Who owns the hammer?” Owens asked. “Is this a hammer that was inside the residence? Therefore making it impossible for the person to have broken IN with the hammer. All of these questions again, should be asked in a world where we actually have a media that is committed to finding the truth.”
“Instead, we have a media that is committed to acting part and parcel to our state as a state-run media as you would see in a communist country,” she added.
While there has been no indication from authorities that anyone was in the car with Pelosi when he was arrested in the May 29 DUI incident, the constantly shifting story from the media has only led many to suspect that they aren’t getting the straight scoop on what went down in Pacific Heights at the Pelosi residence.
As Owens pointed out, NBC’s quashing of Almaguer’s reporting of details that conflicted with the official narrative is particularly damning, especially the network’s vague explanation that the report was disappeared down the memory hole because it “did not meet our reporting standards.”
Paul Pelosi opened the door for police, didn’t run outside or flee then, instead he walked back to the hippie nudist and was attacked with a hammer then? This story keeps getting weirder: pic.twitter.com/071sAD4rY4

Those who have legitimate questions have been smeared by Democratic Party propaganda organs like The New York Times which ran a front-page story over the weekend accusing a number of GOP lawmakers and other figures including new Twitter owner Elon Musk of feeding a “misinformation loop” with conspiracy theories and “groundless claims — nearly all of them sinister, and many homophobic,” citing “disinformation expert” Nina Jankowicz who was slated to head up the Biden regimes censorship bureau at the Department of Homeland Security before she was sunk by her own social media activity.
One of those on the Times’ list, Megyn Kelly lashed out at the biased hit piece smearing skeptics of the official narrative.
“The NYT lists me as a spreader of misinfo re the P Pelosi attack bc I ‘raised doubts that all facts were being disclosed.’ It’s called JOURNALISM. SFPD clearly has more to disclose but if u ask for it, you’re a ‘misinfo’ spreader like @Miguelnbc. Grow up, NYT & DO YOUR JOB,” Kelly tweeted on Monday.

In a country with a free and honest press, there would be serious questions asked BY REPORTERS about the bludgeoning of the husband of the woman who is third in the line of presidential succession, but in the U.S. with years of partisan lies churned out by the media, it’s no wonder why so many no longer believe anything they say.
