Musk UNLOADS: ‘Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America’

Billionaire and owner of Twitter Elon Musk posted a scathing message to the companies that have elected to pull their advertisements following his takeover, accusing them of “trying to destroy free speech.”

“Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue, due to activist groups pressuring advertisers, even though nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. Extremely messed up! They’re trying to destroy free speech in America,” he wrote.

These companies include: Pfizer, General Mills, Audi, Oreo maker Mondelez International and General Motors. Beauty company L’Oreal has recently denied reports that they too have pulled their ad dollars from Twitter.

Musk got an earful from friends and foes alike as his comments generated quite a buzz:
