Musk blasts 4-word message to world, fires execs, lifts bans on day one of Twitter ownership

Elon Musk has officially taken over at Twitter as “Chief Twit,” despite the gnashing of teeth and tearing of hair among leftists, gleefully announcing, “The bird is freed,” as he fired top executives and reportedly nixed lifetime bans.

Musk sent a tweet out on Thursday indicating that free speech will return to the social media platform as he unceremoniously cleans house at Twitter.

Musk sent out the historic tweet just before 11 p.m. ET. It immediately went viral and was liked by over 500,000 users.

Closing the $44 billion dollar deal was no small feat for the Tesla CEO but it is now complete. Twitter joins Musk’s other ventures Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company.

“The long-term potential for Twitter, in my view, is an order of magnitude greater than its current value,” Musk stated during Tesla’s earnings conference call last week, according to CNN Business.

“The easy part for Musk was buying Twitter, the difficult part and Everest-like uphill battle looking ahead will be fixing this troubled asset,” Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives wrote in a note to clients on Thursday according to Fox Business. “The $44 billion price tag for Twitter will go down as one of the most overpaid tech acquisitions in the history of M&A deals on the Street in our opinion.”

That remains to be seen. If Musk handles Twitter the way he does his other ventures, he will turn it on its head, give it an enema, and resurrect what was a dying company, making it even more popular and hugely profitable. All of that while restoring free speech, a concept Americans wholeheartedly embrace.

The New York Stock Exchange confirmed in a notice on its website that Twitter will be suspended from trading on Friday. Bloomberg News reported that Musk could potentially take Twitter public again within three to five years.

Kicked to the curb immediately upon sealing the deal was Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and Vijaya Gadde, who was ironically the head of legal policy, trust, and safety. Sean Edgett, a general counsel for Twitter, was also fired and escorted from the building Thursday, according to Bloomberg News. The media outlet also reports that Musk will personally replace Agrawal.

Twitter employees now worry the axe will fall as Musk comes for them.

The new CEO previously claimed that Twitter and its overlords had misled him and investors over the number of bots (fake users) that inhabited the social media platform.

It is expected that the billionaire will loosen content moderation in the name of free speech and reportedly lift lifetime bans, paving the way for a number of high-profile conservatives to return to Twitter including former President Donald Trump, although he has said he will stay with his venture Truth Social.

Trump was a master at utilizing Twitter before his ban and even as an official outlet while serving in the White House. Inviting him back to the social media platform would give him access to his millions of followers before a potential run for the presidency in 2024.

In an open letter to advertisers on Thursday, Musk emphasized that Twitter “obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences!”

“In addition to adhering to our laws of the land, our platform must be warm and welcoming to all, where you can choose your desired experience according to your preferences,” he added.

This week, Musk made an entrance into the San Francisco headquarters of Twitter lugging a sink as a visual pun. People loved it.
