Violent clashes outside Oregon pub over drag queen event; 11-yr-old performer, ‘drag mom’ a suspected pedophile

More than 200 protesters faced off in tense clashes outside Old Nick’s Pub in Oregon over a “drag queen story event” featuring an 11-year-old whose former “drag mom” is a suspected pedophile.

Fights broke out among the protesters gathered outside the bar named after Satan, according to Fox News. No one was reportedly arrested but one person was taken to the hospital by ambulance with an unspecified injury.

The venue has previously hosted $10-a-ticket fetish nights, with events advertising “impact play,” “rope suspension,” and “electric play.” They have also reportedly hosted drag shows where children have performed previously.

Despite the volatile atmosphere outside, the event went on. However, the 11-year-old drag performer, whose stage name is Vanellope MacPherson DuPont, did not take the stage as planned.

One of the child’s so-called “drag moms,” Kelsey Meta Boren, was reportedly charged earlier this year with three child sex offenses.

Boren is a former school employee. The 31-year-old allegedly engaged in sharing child pornography online. The “drag mom” has posted a number of photos with the 11-year-old on Instagram as well. Some of them refer to the child as “my drag kid.”

Currently, Boren is in custody and was arraigned in August.

Protesters outside the pub are featured in footage that shows them throwing projectiles, including smoke grenades at counter-protesters on Sunday.

Those protesting in support of the event, yelled, “Go home, Nazis!” and brandished a banner that proclaimed, “Protect trans youth.”

Conservatives carried signs that asked, “What kind of monster exposes kids to this?” They shouted, “Save our children!” at the drag supporters.

The bar had previously promoted the outrageous event with a Facebook post that announced, “Vanellope is here to show you what an 11-year-old drag queen can do. With all the charm and sweetness of a bowl of sugary cereal, Vanellope is here to brighten up your morning with all her drag talent.”

Vanellope’s family and friends issued a statement that asserts the relationship with Boren was strictly “professional” and they only met “maybe four or five times.”

It added, “Meta-Boren was not a family friend, nor was she ever a mentor for V in the drag world. They, also, have not had any contact since before COVID, and all ties have been severed as of the time of Meta-Boren’s arrest in August.”

Another handler for Vanellope is Sunshine Ray MacPherson, whose real name is Jennifer Hibbs. She is also a drag performer.

“Her actual mother does her choreography so that it’s all appropriate. We wouldn’t let her do anything suggestive… it’s terrible that people assume that we would let her do that,” Hibbs told the Post Millennial in an interview.

The pub is claiming they are being targeted by conservatives to “push forward anti-LGBTQ legislation.”

“Drag is an art form. The idea that it is inherently sexual is a form of bigotry,” the leftist venue claims.

The Eugene Police Department drew up “security plans” for the event before it was scheduled to take place “because opposing groups were communicating plans to attend, possibly armed.”

According to police, groups of demonstrators began arriving around 9:45 am, and “firearms were reported present in both groups.”
