‘Morning Joe’ melts down after focus group resoundingly rejects Democrats’ J6 narrative

Two weeks before the most important off-year elections in the history of the nation isn’t a good time for Democrats to realize that the narrative that they’ve been relentlessly pushing has been a complete failure, but that’s the reality for a party that bet everything on portraying the January 6, 2021 chaos at the Capitol as a serious effort to overthrow “democracy” and is only now beginning to realize that voters could care less.

The unwelcome intrusion of reality into the bubble inhabited by the coastal cultural and political elite isn’t sitting well with many, including MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough who was flummoxed by the responses of a focus group of ordinary Americans who clearly weren’t impressed by the establishment propaganda.

On Monday’s edition of his namesake program, “Morning Joe,” the former Republican congressman turned leftist cable television pundit melted down over the viewpoint of Pittsburgh voters who supported former President Donald J. Trump in the 2020 election when a video of the Q & A conducted by NBC’s political analyst Elise Jordan was cued up for his audience.

“Doug Mastriano was at the insurrection and he was photographed breaching one of the restricted areas. Is that OK?” Jordan asked, referring to the Republican nominee for governor in the key battleground state.

“Which area? Because I saw a video where Capitol officers are taking away barriers and unlocking doors,” one of the group members pointed out.

“So what do you make, though, overall of January 6th? I mean, it was watching that footage, it was pretty disturbing. I mean, there were people throwing excrement at the walls and it was our, against the Capitol?” Jordan later asked in the video.

“It looked a lot like Antifa actually,” one of the focus group members said.

“Except on a much smaller scale, it looked the same as the Black Lives Matter riots,” another added.

“Indianapolis burns, Kenosha burns,” a group member noted, referring to the violent leftist race riots that were sanctioned by Democrats, media, sports leagues and corporations.

After rolling the video, a forlorn Scarborough bemoaned the focus group’s stubborn refusal to fall in line and swallow the Democrat version of the terrible day’s events hook, line and sinker.

“You know, this is… I really don’t know where to start here,” he began. “It’s Nancy Pelosi’s fault. It’s Democratic operatives’ fault. It’s the police, Capitol Police’s fault. You go through all of this, Elise. And then we hear things like it’s a fundamental right to peacefully protest that they were peaceful protests and these people are political prisoners that are locked up.”

“And that, again, they’re saying it just that they were mainly peaceful protests and that nobody died except for a protester, there are four cops who died, and one of those cops died after an interaction here, and his family sure as hell believes he died the next day, that it was directly related to this. I really, I don’t really know. This is just one of these moments.” Scarborough added, misrepresenting the death of officer Brian Sicknick who wasn’t murdered by protesters despite media reports.

“And again, I have friends and family members that think like this. I don’t know where they’re getting their information, but I’m reminded is they’re trying to blame everybody from Antifa to Nancy Pelosi that it was Kevin McCarthy who was screaming at the top of his lungs, along with other Republicans who were besieged inside the Capitol building while all of these Trump supporters were going in and trying to kill Mike Pence and other people,” he whined.

“I know it’s disturbing to a lot of people, but I will tell you, this is what I hear all the time personally. And you just I just have to stop, you know, communicating on issues like this with friends. If I want them to remain friends because they’ve been lied to and they either, they eagerly accept that lie or they’ve been duped into believing that these were just peaceful protests,” he added.

Later in the segment, during the panel discussion both Scarborough and his wife and “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski likened the focus group to cult members.

Claiming that Trump accused him of murder – the ex-POTUS repeatedly drew attention to the mysterious death of an intern whose body was found in Scarborough’s congressional office in 2001  which badly rattled the host – he insulted Trump’s loyal supporters.

“It is like a cult,” he exclaimed. Brzezinski would later use the exact same terminology.

The fact of the matter for Democrats and their mouthpieces is that their decision to focus on the protest gone badly off the rails as their top midterm issue has failed miserably as was evident when the massively overhyped January 6 committee hearings were a ratings dud, failing to capture the attention of an electorate who is far more concerned with things that truly matter in their lives, such as kitchen table issues like gas prices, crushing inflation and a decline in hope for a better future.

Real people not only tuned out the hot air from Scarborough and his fellow media shills about J6 but they never tuned in to begin with and that is a major problem for the Democrats.
