“One year ago today…” Baldwin captioned his post on Friday with a picture of Hutchins behind a camera.

The 64-year-old actor was rehearsing with a prop gun on the New Mexico film set for “Rust” on October 21, 2021, when it discharged and killed the cinematographer.

The anniversary of Hutchins’ death comes two weeks after a settlement was reached by Baldwin and her estate, which filed a wrongful death lawsuit in February.

The settlement included naming Matthew Hutchins, Halyna’s husband, as an executive producer for “Rust.” The indie Western is scheduled to resume filming early in 2023.

“I have no interest in engaging in recriminations or attribution of blame (to the producers or Mr. Baldwin). All of us believe Halyna’s death was a terrible accident. I am grateful that the producers and the entertainment community have come together to pay tribute to Halyna’s final work,” Matthew Hutchins said in a statement.

The Santa Fe District Attorney’s office also issued a statement saying it is still waiting for the sheriff’s report before deciding on charges. The final report is expected to be delivered to the local District Attorney before the end of October, according to Deadline.

“On the anniversary of the tragedy on the Rust film set in Santa Fe County, District Attorney Mary Carmack-Altweis remains committed to pursuing justice for the victims, and getting answers for the community,” the statement from Heather Brewer, the DA’s spokesperson, claimed. “As soon as the District Attorney receives the full report from the Santa Fe County Sheriff, she and her team of professional attorneys and investigators will thoroughly review all the evidence and make a thoughtful decision about whether to bring charges against those involved. No one is above the law and every victim deserves justice.”

Because Baldwin was holding the prop gun when it discharged a live round killing Hutchins, a number of commenters thought his post was in very poor taste.

“This feels really inappropriate since you’re the one who shot and killed her…” one person commented on Instagram, according to the New York Post.

“Inappropriate. This could be very misunderstood,” another commenter stated.

“Is this not incredibly tone-deaf to anyone else? Especially because he denies doing it?” another person charged.

“Hope you go to jail along with the producers,” someone else said, blasting Baldwin over the tragedy.

No charges or arrests have been made in the year since Hutchins’ was killed by Baldwin.

The actor was also torched on Twitter over his insensitivity concerning what he had done:
