Fox News’ Chad Pergram has scoop on why Pelosi’s daughter was videoing at the Capitol on Jan 6

The fact that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) conveniently had a documentary crew run by her daughter Alexandra to film her as the Capitol was breached on Jan. 6, 2021 may have been accepted at face value by some, but for those expressing even the tamest of scrutinies, the Democratic lawmaker elected to use her grandson as her scapegoat.

Perhaps the left has grown so accustomed to corporate media’s cheerleading of whatever they do instead of fact-based reporting that they’ve stopped coming up with credible excuses for their actions. Such would seem to be the case after Fox News’ senior congressional correspondent Chad Pergram sought answers on why Pelosi was being filmed that day.

In a none answer, Pergram explained as part of a Twitter thread that she said, “her daughter, filmmaker Alexandra, brought her 8th grade@son to the Capitol on 1/6. Says it was ‘for him to see a lesson in civics on how we would have a peaceful transfer of power..So it was horrible.”

The correspondent went on to write, “2) Pelosi: And they asked me if I was scared. I said I wasn’t scared for me. I was scared for my staff. I was scared for the maintenance people who keep the Capitol..I was there for the president for covering scared for my colleagues…It as really quite frightening. But the trauma that it caused is ongoing..So Alexandra who was there to just witness a civics lesson would then would show what was happening. We were pleading with the administration, pleading with them to send the National Guard.”

As previously reported, the speaker was caught on camera challenging then-President Donald Trump to come to the Capitol stating, “I hope he comes. I want to punch him out…I’ve been waiting for this. For trespassing on the Capitol grounds. I’m gonna punch him out, and I’m gonna go to jail, and I’m gonna be happy.”

Pergram continued with his thread on Pelosi’s story that did little for explaining the reason of her family’s presence but went on to laud how serendipitous it was to capture the history of the moment.

“4) Pelosi: And they would say well, it takes planning and we’ve got to get approval and we’re like just send them. OK, just send them. It was it was good for the world to see. You know, the reason…(Alexandra) said..’I feel compelled to give them what we have so that people can see what what we saw that day.’ It turns out to be quite historic because they’ve never had that close of a video recording of what happened.”

“6) Pelosi: bout the Vice President. When I spoke to him, I said, ‘I’m so afraid for you to be in the Capitol. I hope nobody finds out that you’re there. Be safe,” she reportedly had said. “Why are you still here?’ I don’t think this was in the film…Pelosi: And he said, ‘The Secret Service thought it might be called more attention if we left with..the..entourage.’ But Lord knows what might have happened if that entourage went out there.”

The haphazard attempt at a cover story nearly two years after the fact proved how little concern Pelosi has over being challenged, and while the media may be happy to accept her explanation at face value, the public wasn’t buying into it.

There was also a fair bit of feigned concern over Pelosi’s expressed worry with some pointing to her past behavior as reason enough not to believe the story she was selling.

But, the biggest hole that was punched into the use of her own grandson as an excuse came with the basic reality that if she had brought family around to witness the transfer of power, inauguration day would have been the time for that visit.
