The hyper-sexualization of America’s youth has shown no signs of slowing down even as determined parents have continued to challenge the content that children have been exposed to by activists.
While progressives have often downplayed or denied such stories, no such plausible deniability could be had at a Colorado elementary school that hosted a “celebrity drag queen” alongside a U.S. senator.
As all Marxist ideologies roll together, it wasn’t enough for Lincoln Elementary in Denver, Colorado to push a green agenda with their “Walk and Roll to School” event encouraging public and alternative transportation, there was room to shoehorn in queer theory indoctrination for Pedestrian Safety Month, too. To that end, Dixie Krystals of the Discovery+ program “Generation Drag” was invited to be a celebrity crossing guard in addition to superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero and Sen. John Hickenlooper.
Denver Public Schools’ social media proudly promoted the event and Krystals’ participation on social media with images of the drag performer handing out raffle tickets to young children who walked or ride bikes to school that day. “Meet some more of the Denver #CelebrityCrossingGuards that kept our students safe at our schools this morning for National Walk & Roll to School Day!” they wrote.

The media was also a welcomed participant in the event as Safe Routes to School Advocate Amy Kenreich offered a “Heartfelt thank you to members” who came out to document the day.
A great #WalkRollToSchool Day here in Denver! Thank you to students and communities who celebrated their joy of walking/rolling and welcomed a #CelebrityCrossingGuard. Among them was the openly gay anchor and reporter for KUSA, Jordan Chavez, who shared a video of “icon” Dixie Krystals interacting with some of the kids.
“It’s #NationalWalkToSchoolDay! And thank goodness we’ve got icons like Dixie Krystals keeping our kids safe as they walk and bike to school. Denver needs more crossing guards so more kids can do just this! Don’t worry – Dixie’s energy level is not a requirement.”

Sen. Hickenlooper and superintendent Marrero also proudly posed for the photo opportunity to be seen “protecting” kids with one hashtag pointing out the underlying message of “#sustainability.”

Despite that proud participation, it was pointed out that Marrero and Hickenlooper were not seen posing with Krystals during the event. “Where are the drag queens that you had working as crossing guards?” one social media user asked. “Why won’t you own it?”

It’s not as though the senator has any misgivings about supporting the LGBTQ movement. The Colorado lawmaker has routinely been seen at Pride events and posing with drag queens, including a drag brunch to push the “Equality Act” in June 2021.

It’s obvious that normalization will continue to be pushed while a safe distance is maintained by public figures looking to have their cake and eat it too. Meanwhile, kids remain in the crosshairs as investigative fellow Alex Nester of Parents Defending Education told the Daily Caller News Foundation, “Drag queens are known for their lewd and sexualized performances, and they have no place in or around schools. Yet, for whatever reason, schools have been insistent on giving children access to these performers. It’s immoral, distracting and confusing for children.”
