The cost of the Biden administration’s open border policy has to be incalculable, not that they even bother to acknowledge the fact, let alone address it. Incredibly, though, the situation has escalated to the point that even NBC News is now covering it.
“There have been more than 300,000 illegal border crossings in the area around Yuma. That’s three times the city’s entire population of nearly 100,000. It’s an all-time record,” national correspondent Gabe Gutierrez reported.
“The only hospital here estimates that, over six months, it’s doled out $20 million in uncompensated medical care to migrants,” he added.
Shocking. Twenty million to address the medical needs of criminals.
Robert Trenschel, CEO of Yuma Regional Medical Center, was granted a soundbite in the 2-minute story.
“We have to stop that border flow. If you’re going to have the borders open like they are, then there has to be a payment source for these individuals.”
Douglas Nicholls, mayor of Yuma agreed that the situation is simply not sustainable.
“It’s not sustainable. I definitely do consider this a crisis. It’s a situation where numbers are multiple times higher than anywhere else in history,” said Mayor Nicholls.
The use of the word ‘crisis’ implies a situation beyond controlling, such as a drought or an insect infestation that destroys crops. But like the energy ‘crisis’, the overwhelming invasion of illegals is a ‘crisis’ created and meticulously maintained by the federal government. Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) said it succinctly in a tweet on Friday.
In less than 2 years, Joe Biden’s policies have created an energy crisis, a border crisis, a crime crisis, an education crisis, and an economic crisis.

We have the worst border crisis in U.S. history, and every Senate Dem voted to BLOCK 18,000 Border Patrol agents and FOR 87,000 IRS enforcers instead.

Is Yuma getting any help from the federal government?
Gutierrez narrated over a video of illegal aliens ambling across the countryside, “Officials here say they are not getting enough help from the federal government.”
The picture changed to show a train loaded with shipping containers, while Gutierrez continued his report of local money spent in an attempt to solve a problem created by the feds.
“Arizona’s governor has spent $6 million to bring in these shipping containers to close gaps in the border fence. The state is also spending $83,000 per bus to send migrants to Washington, D.C.”
Biden’s border policy is not only causing gargantuan problems for states and their citizens, but also for the migrants themselves. The report included interviews of illegals crying about broken dreams.

Again, it’s an avoidable crisis. Don’t come here in violation of our laws, and you won’t have to cry on TV about your sad situation.
“Local officials say they expect border crossings here to rise again over the next few months as temperatures cool,” concluded the report.
So the situation is bad. But never fear – it’s going to get worse.
