‘Delusional’: Nicolle Wallace reamed after naming GOP heads of her fantasy ‘Democracy Hotline’

MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace ridiculously suggested that former President Barack Obama create a “Democracy Hotline” staffed by RINOs and disaffected Republicans to save the country from the GOP.

At the top of the list to lead the Orwellian “Democracy Hotline” are former New Jersey governor Chris Christie and disenchanted Republican attorney Ben Ginsberg. She proposed on her show “Deadline: White House” Monday that those two bastions of conservatism be chosen to counter the rise of anti-democratic Republican candidates. Her fear of the midterm election results was palpable here.

The paranoia is rich in the rhetoric Wallace used in the segment. She seemed terrified by some kind of fringe theory supposedly called the Independent State Legislature Doctrine that the left claims has gained steam among some conservatives. It evidently contends that a state legislature has total control over elections within the state and that its actions cannot be overridden by executive or judicial action. According to the theory, a state legislature does not have to abide by the results of the state’s popular vote count in a presidential election. Instead, it can recognize any candidate’s slate of electors as it sees fit.

Wallace couldn’t seem to admit that people no longer have a tolerance for woke progressives and want to vote them out. The left is painting Republicans as fascists who are rigging elections instead of admitting that what is going on here is that Democrats are being blocked from allegedly doing exactly that. It’s the use of actual fascism to defeat faux-fascism.

The theory will ostensibly play out in the matter in front of the Supreme Court via arguments in Moore v. Harper this term.

“I think we have to have a conversation as a country about how we might not know the next morning what happened. We might not know the day after that. And that is their point,” Wallace whined.

“They’re not all running to win,” she asserted. “They are running to sow discord in America. And it will change everything. We will wake up the morning after election day – we might not even call it that anymore in two years. We might not call it election day. We might call it election week because what we are watching – and because it’s so slow, it’s so slow – we don’t cover it as a five-alarm fire, but it is.”

The MSNBC host fear-mongered that “we are watching Republicans not just destroying democracy in the dark, breaking into election offices and plugging stuff in. We’re watching them do it from rally stages, debate stages.”

Then she came up with the whacked idea of the “Democracy Hotline” manned by Christie and Ginsberg.

“Do you think it requires, you know, a ‘Democracy Commission?’” she asked former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO). “Should President Obama ask Chris Christie and Ben Ginsberg to sort of man a ‘Democracy Hotline’ the way people used to man other crises? I mean, what should we do?”

“Well, it doesn’t take a commission,” McCaskill responded, attempting to distance herself from the unhinged idea. “It just takes Republicans that have some character and integrity standing up to these people who have decided that cheating is ok if it lets you win. And what they’re doing is cheating. They are actually committing a fraud on the American people.”

McCaskill has deflection down to a science. And the fact that the elections have not even occurred yet doesn’t stop her from accusing Republicans of cheating. It’s vintage leftism in action.
