The answer to the question of whether or not the left can get any more unhinged is evidently always yes, and the latest example comes courtesy of the alleged baby mutilators at one of the country’s top children’s hospitals who claimed their ideology is embraced “seemingly from the womb.”
Though backlash has them scrubbing websites and taking down videos, the toothpaste is out of the tube at Boston Children’s Hospital. Since coming under fire for its first-in-the-nation pediatric and adolescent transgender health program, the Harvard-affiliated hospital has denied claims that they offer “gender-affirming care” in the form of surgeries for minors.
Among the videos pulled down espousing their zealotry to this cause, the Daily Mail preserved one, since deleted, that had been posted in August where a psychologist contradicts the pro-abortion progressive argument that a pregnancy is just a clump of cells in order to peddle the notion that a considerable number of unborn babies “know their gender.”
“So most of the patients that we have in the GeMS (Gender MultiSpeciality Service) clinic actually know their gender, usually around the age of puberty.” psychologist Dr. Kerry McGregor began cheerfully promoting her opinions as undeniable facts.
Excitedly she continued, “But a good portion of children do know as early as seemingly from the womb.”
“And they will usually express their gender identity as very young children, some as soon as they can talk, McGregor went on adding, “kids know very, very early.”
She went on to promote the services at the hospital that would pair confused children as young as two-years-old with psychologists “to explore their gender,” and Dr. Jay Richards of the Heritage Foundation was having none of it.
“The claim that children ‘know their gender identity…seemingly from the womb’ is a claim with no basis in science or data,” he slammed McGregor’s statement while speaking with the Mail. “It’s simply a concept imposed on the actions of kids by gender ideologues.”
“Based on a series of events that I think, mostly due to social contagion plus the kind of ideological commitment,” Richards suggested, “many now consider these the proper standard of care for kids with gender dysphoria and Boston Children’s Hospital is just one of the first ones to do it.”
“I think even 25 years ago, this would have been unthinkable,” he said of the “social contagion” that has seen dramatic rises in reports of children claiming some form of “non-binary” gender identity.
Psychotherapist Stella O’Malley set forth, “When distressed and vulnerable young people are offered an option to be somebody different, it’s very, very alluring and gender ideology does offer that.”
Reports found that there has been an over 4,0000 percent increase in girls being treated for gender dysphoria in the UK and O’Malley contended, “It’s very well known that there’s a lot of social contagion, for example, with suicide and with eating disorders and self harm.”
“It’s particularly common among adolescent girls because they have a tendency to co-ruminate together, to over identify with each other to kind of endlessly talk about their problems in a very sympathetic way to each other, but it can lead a kind of over-identification with each other’s problems,” she told the Mail.
Richards went on to add, “Some kids conform more or less closely to gender stereotypes,” and further stated, “This tells us nothing about their ‘gender identity,’ a concept that no child has on his or her own, that no one had until recently, and that doesn’t even have a stable definition.”
