Jason Whitlock compares left’s ‘demonic’ reaction to Kanye to the treatment of Kunta Kinte

Pushing back against the liberal, anti-Christian principles of the left will put a target on your back, inciting Democrats to berate and abuse you into submission, “whipping and slashing” until you “bow down to the liberal orthodoxy,” according to sports broadcaster Jason Whitlock.

The host of Blaze Media’s Fearless podcast sat down with Tucker Carlson following the Fox News host’s hour-long discussion with rap superstar, business mogul, and clothing designer Kanye West, and compared the treatment of the Grammy award-winning artist to that of the “Roots” character Kunta Kinte.

West, a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump and an outspoken critic of the liberal agenda permeating Hollywood, often rails against the destruction of the nuclear family and continued subjugation of minorities by Democratic policies, earning him the contempt of mainstream media.

“It scares the heck out of the left to see someone like Kanye West, that popular, that influential,” Whitlock said. “His skin color that has those Christian values because that’s what’s really under attack. His Christian values. It scares them, they don’t want him to survive. They are using him.”

While West struggles with the burden of fame, he continues to return to the foundation of his faith, the longtime Fox Sports broadcaster said.

“Throughout that interview tonight I heard a guy that’s a devout Christian and I heard a guy that is cursed with the disease of fame,” Whitlock said. “It’s undermined his ability to be a good father, it has undermined his ability to be a good husband, it’s undermined his happiness. He wants to be a Christian and the things he said about his faith and wearing the lanyard with the ultrasound, all of that — I love that about Kanye West.”

West’s strength and faith are all that have kept him standing, Whitlock continued.

“I’m going to use an analogy. Kunta Kinte in ‘Roots,'” the former ESPN columnist said. “They got him out on a tree and they are whipping him, ‘What’s your name?’ And they want him to say left-wing liberal and he won’t say it. He keeps saying, ‘I like Trump. I like God. I’m a Christian.’ And they keep whipping and slashing him and they are trying to make this man bow down to the liberal orthodoxy and they are doing it as a message to me and everybody else. If you don’t get in line with what we want you to think, every black man, every heterosexual black man, every black man with Christian values, we will beat you into a pulp. Kanye’s man enough to stand up, I wish more men were.”

An influential advocate for conservative politics in the black community, West has the potential to motivate voters, making him very dangerous to the liberal agenda.

“This is demonic,” Whitlock said. “Everything the left preaches to black people, you should be overweight, you should kill your babies in the womb, you should embrace a negative culture that teaches you to kill each other and disrespect each other. It’s a death culture. It’s genocide. It’s demonic. Just like Kanye West said, I hope he wins his battle with fame, because if he does, he’s a very important voice.”

Carlson pointed to the Left’s hypocrisy in insisting West, as a black man, bow down to the prescribed principles dictated to him by Democratic policies rather than respecting the man’s opinion and moving on.

“What does that do to you to discover you can be one of the richest, most famous people in the world and you still don’t have the simple right to say what you think,” Carlson asked.

West returns to the foundation of his faith, using his Christian principles as a bulwark against hate and disrespect, Whitlock said.

“It’s clear as day the left doesn’t respect black people. We are being used as pawns in their demonic game that they’re playing,” he said. “And I know that sounds hyperbolic but it’s just factual. It’s a death culture. It’s hostile to Christian values. You have to throw them all out in order to serve their political movement. You have to be pro-abortion. You have to believe in the matriarchy and the destruction of the nuclear family.”

The family is at the heart of all Christian values, it is the foundation upon which all the principles are built, Whitlock said, which makes the dismantling of West’s marriage to media mogul Kim Kardashian more cataclysmic for the highly decorated hip-hop artist.

“That’s why Kanye is so devastated because his family has been destroyed,” Whitlock said. “His wife is eating from the forbidden fruit of feminism, the matriarchy, and the left’s demonic culture. His family has been destroyed. Any person with just a layman’s understanding of faith, Christian faith, the family is at the heart of the structure. That’s what God designed. This man’s family has been ripped apart because his wife won’t buy into his vision, she’s been influenced by the Clintons and the Democratic left.”

Kardashian and West married in 2012 but separated in 2021 following West’s public mental health crisis. The couple shares four children, and while their divorce has not been finalized, Kardashian was declared legally single in March.

“This man’s paying a heck of a price,” Whitlock said. “I’m very proud of him. I go back and forth sometimes on Kanye because again he’s struggling with fame. He’ll do some things that are inconsistent with his Christian values but ultimately, is Kanye trying to be a force for good? Absolutely.”
