A video has surfaced admitting a trans activist group that staged school walkouts in Virginia was led by a former Democrat staffer and a large number of the students who walked simply wanted to ditch school.
Not everything is as it seems concerning the walkouts. An internal Zoom call acquired by The Daily Wire allegedly paints quite a different picture of the protest. In the video, the Pride Liberation Project reportedly boasted about how they tricked the media and that, instead of being civil rights heroes, most of the students just wanted to skip school.
The media salivated over the walkouts from nearly 100 Virginia public and independent schools with thousands of students taking to the streets in protest of Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s proposed transgender policy that would force students to use the restroom according to their biology.
Another part of Youngkin’s proposal is that the schools should not hide transgender students’ status from their parents and should only change their name and pronouns with their parents’ written permission.

“We had at least 12,000 students walk out. We were the reason Joe Biden was asked a question on this issue,” the group’s leader stated during the call while boasting of “coverage from USA Today, the Richmond Times Dispatch, the Virginia Pilot, the Washington Post, AP News, and even some international outlets.”
“I want to know if anyone else had this problem,” one student asked during the confab. “Yesterday at the school walkout we had about 200 kids participating. Most of the students were just there to skip class. Most of the fliers I handed out got handed right back to me because most of the people weren’t there for the cause of the walkout, they just wanted to skip class.”
I’m shocked, I tell you! SHOCKED!

“I definitely had a lot of those people at my school… they are bolstering our numbers. We can count them as people who walked out for the Pride Liberation Project… They’re still helping and they don’t even realize it,” another activist noted.
Rivka Vizcardo-Lichter, who is a top organizer with the group, contended, “When helicopters are recording your school, they’re not seeing which ones care and which ones don’t, they’re just seeing the numbers. So ya’ll slayed.”
The group coordinated the event with the media beforehand. A local television station sent a helicopter out to capture a gaggle of students congregating for the protest.

The group was led on the call by Aaryan Rawal, a college student and former legislative staffer for a Virginia Democrat.
Rawal told the activists, “The goal of mass mobilization is not necessarily make people care about an issue… the primary goal is to give us credibility in the eyes of lawmakers. For the 30 people who actually know what the policy is, and who actually know how they’re gonna advocate, those people suddenly have a lot of credibility when they talk to our Virginia lawmakers.”
Some of those on the call seemed to have no idea what the proposed policy actually entailed.
In an internal message board, an adult activist shared a “talking points” document that told people what to say, including repeatedly invoking suicide.
One participant seemed to have little idea what the policy they were protesting actually did.

“If this bill does end up getting passed… would that stop us from being able to have [a Gay Student Association]?” one attendee asked. The Department of Education’s transgender guidelines have nothing to do with that and it isn’t a bill.
In true liberal fashion, Rawal utilized an internal message board to deploy “talking points” that instructed activists on what to say, including repeatedly invoking suicide.
“How can my friends possibly learn about photosynthesis in biology class when they’re worried about whether they’ll be able to come home to a safe place that night?” Rawal instructed them to ask if someone questioned them about the walkouts getting in the way of learning.

Another talking point instructed the students to tell reporters that “I’ve had to talk friends out of suicide at 2 AM in the morning, and I’ve not met a single queer student who isn’t depressed.”
“Remember to focus on our narrative… Using a student’s true pronouns and name has consistently been shown to prevent suicide,” the talking points memo advised.
“We have access to messaging research, or we have access to people who have access to messaging research, and that messaging research really guides what we say in the media,” Rawal informed the activists.
“It comes down to this: we know what we’re doing, they don’t know what they’re doing. Just remember, we were featured on international news and a lot of national news yesterday,” he bragged.
I was right! I had tweeted on the day they walked out that the vast majority just wanted to skip classes!

“This new policy can put students in danger at home and in school settings,” said one student activist who helped lead a protest according to the DCist. “If they’re outed to their parents, their community, they can be put in danger, be kicked out, they might have suicidal ideation. And, all in all, this policy will harm everyone.”
“As someone who comes from an already homophobic Christian environment,” another student added, “I do not need to, like, feel unsafe at school.”
