Once again in reporting that is long on accusations, short on facts, and vague on details, the New York Times is claiming to have uncovered the identity of the woman who reportedly recruited Venezuelan migrants to fly to Martha’s Vineyard in September.
The left has gone into a frenzy over the woman whom The New York Times has fingered as “Perla Huerta.” She is allegedly a former combat medic and counterintelligence agent who lives in the Tampa, Florida area. Social media trolls are also making a big deal of her supposedly living in Rep. Matt Gaetz’s district amid calls for her to be arrested.
Huerta stands accused of luring Venezuelan migrants from San Antonio on behalf of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for two flights to Martha’s Vineyard. Prior reporting claims that the illegal immigrants all knew where they were going and the operation was on the up and up. The left has screamed otherwise.
Forty-eight Venezuelans were flown to the playground for the rich and famous. Those protesting the move are the very same people who have lobbied for open borders. However, when the illegal immigrants were brought to their doorstep, they cried bloody murder over it.
"We were tricked." A plan to fly migrants to Martha’s Vineyard involved a former counterintelligence agent and an airline with political ties to Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida. https://t.co/8sFYZWDTf9

The media has drooled all over the story, accusing DeSantis of kidnapping, human trafficking, and breaking the law in a move that was far less egregious than what the Biden administration has continuously been doing in the dead of the night since he has taken office.
The left has also been asking whether it was legal to spend money from the state’s budget that allocated $12 million to the Florida Department of Transportation “for implementing a program to facilitate the transport of unauthorized aliens from this state.”
After the migrants agreed to go to Martha’s Vineyard and they landed on deep blue soil, suddenly a number of them started speaking to reporters and attorneys who were lining up at the trough. They claimed that “a smiling blond-haired woman in a cowboy hat” who identified herself only as “Perla” had approached them outside the San Antonio Migrant Resource Center and promised them she could take them somewhere where they could find food, shelter, and jobs.
No, the American people are being tricked. They should have been flown back to their point of origin.

The left then trotted out a migrant who goes by the unremarkable name of Jose who told The Washington Post that after being stranded on the streets of San Antonio, Perla paid for him and other migrants to stay in a local hotel and made promises to them.
“The La Quinta was a respite. There were real beds, a swimming pool, and a breakfast buffet. Perla brought them pizza and hamburgers at night. ‘I could shower, I could get dressed,’ Jose said. He swam in the pool,” the Washington Post reported.
“Perla offered migrants $10 McDonald’s gift cards if they signed waivers in which ‘an entire paragraph about liability and transport’ and ‘language specifying that the journey would take place from Texas to Massachusetts’ was not completely translated into Spanish, according to the class-action suit. Jose said the forms he signed were in English and that he couldn’t read them…,” the leftist outlet continued.
Is there a photo of Perla Huerta somewhere? If we know what she used to do, how come no one has found her, and there's not a photo of her out there? In this day and age there must be information out there.

“‘If I tell you how I felt, I want to cry,’ Jose said. ‘I felt destroyed inside, tricked, frightened. I didn’t know if they were going to put me in jail, if they’d deport me. I just wanted to get to Philadelphia,'” the Washington Post continued.
There seems to be a whole lack of last names and solid sources in the reporting. It is being skewed to make victims out of illegal immigrants and make DeSantis look like he did something criminal. As a bonus, they get to trash a veteran.
The New York Times cited an unnamed source who was “briefed on the San Antonio Sheriff’s office investigation into the matter” and then outed Perla Huerta.
Why don’t you change the name to “The Democrat Times”.

“Ms. Huerta, a former combat medic and counterintelligence agent was discharged last month after two decades in the U.S. Army that included several deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, according to military records,” the New York Times reported.
“A Venezuelan migrant who was working with Ms. Huerta to recruit migrants confirmed her identity, and a migrant in San Antonio whom Ms. Huerta had unsuccessfully sought to sign up identified a photo of her in an interview with The Times. Several of the migrants on Martha’s Vineyard photographed her during the recruitment process in San Antonio, according to Rachel Self, a lawyer representing the migrants. Lawyers working with them were able to match those photos with others online and in social media belonging to a woman named Perla Huerta,” the outlet asserted.
Start reporting Biteme flying illegals in the dead of night first before talking about Ron who said he would do it Einstein…keep the bias going but you’re pathetic …why you can’t be trusted anymore

Huerta does not appear to have developed an organized program to transport the migrants, according to the Washington Examiner.
So, on the word of unnamed sources, the New York Times is attempting to dox an American veteran and a so-called former counterintelligence asset. Whether this is correct or not is impossible to tell at this point, but Huerta is being smeared all over the place and her life is being endangered simply because she helped 48 illegal immigrants fly to a place where wealth abounds after breaking the law in Texas.
They are even playing up one of the illegal immigrants named Pablo who “appeared broken” and was “weeping uncontrollably” when staff at the community center in Martha’s Vineyard arranged for him to call his family in Venezuela.
“My love, we were tricked,” he reportedly told his wife. “This woman lied to us. She lied.”
“We were tricked”, said the champagne socialists at Martha’s Vineyard!

The news outlet is reporting that Huerta lives in Tampa. If they even have the right person, she is not speaking to the press on the matter and neither is DeSantis.
The whole story lacks credibility and since sources are not named, stories conveniently can’t be verified. The media once again is trashing a US veteran and a conservative governor who sent illegal immigrants to those pushing for them to be in the United States in the first place but don’t want them on their own doorstep.
When is the NYT going to do an article on how the Martha’s Vineyard residents lied to the migrants to get them to board buses to the military base? “Just like dormitories “ ….
