Many have found cause for concern stemming from the apparent political weaponization of the Justice Department and the flagrantly partisan Jan. 6 committee, but Saturday Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) listed off reasons to believe there is greater danger then political persecution for espousing conservative views when she declared, “they’ve already started the killings.”
As Republican gubernatorial challenger Tudor Dixon attempts to close the gap on Michigan’s incumbent Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D), Donald Trump held a Save America Rally in Warren, MI Saturday at the Macomb County Community College Sports and Events Center. Included in the speaker lineup was Greene who raised serious concerns over President Joe Biden’s divisive rhetoric which has led her to conclude in part, “Democrats want Republicans dead…”
“We’re all targets now though,” the congresswoman began, “for daring to push back against the regime and it doesn’t stop at a weaponized legal system. I’m not going to mince words with you all. Democrats want Republicans dead and they’ve already started the killings.”
While hyperbole to some, Greene’s expressed view was delivered in all seriousness as she cited recent examples of violence that were said to have been politically motivated. “An 18-year-old boy was rundown by a Democrat driver who confessed to killing the teenager simply because he was a Republican.”
Though initially let out on bail, Shannon Brandt, 41, was charged with felony criminal vehicular homicide after he admitted to running 18-year-old Cayler Ellingson over with his SUV allegedly because he had believed the teen was part of a “Republican extremist group.”

“Even right here in Michigan,” Greene went on with another example, “just last week, an 83-year-old woman was shot in the back for advocating for the unborn.” The reference was to an 84-year-old Michigan Right to Life volunteer, later identified to be Joan Jacobson, who had been out ringing doorbells and handing out pro-life brochures when she had been shot from behind in the shoulder, though the assailant, 74-year-old Richard Harvey, has since claimed he “accidently” shot the woman.

For the Georgia lawmaker, there was an obvious source for this violence against Republicans, and she pointed back to the president’s dark speech at Independence Hall, “Joe Biden has declared every freedom loving American an enemy of the state. But under Republicans, we will take back our country from the communists who have stolen it and want us to disappear.”
Of course, the violence is not as new as Greene would let on as had already been witnessed, for example, in Portland, OR in 2020 when a supporter of then-President Donald Trump had been gunned down in the street. Aaron Danielson of conservative group Patriot Prayer had been called out by Michael Forest Reinoehl as a Trump supporter before he was shot.
The reaction from one local woman, “Well…tough luck. Don’t be a Trump supporter in Portland.”

“We will expose the unelected bureaucrats, the real enemies within, who have abused their power and declared political warfare on the greatest president this country has ever had,” Greene went on to promise as she encouraged the crowd ahead of the November midterms.
While her speech would not constitute an October surprise, there were definitely more than a few leftists on Twitter more taken aback by what Greene was saying than by the reality of violence that had already happened that she called out.
For the love of god, somebody hold her responsible. How can this be legal.

She should be indicted for inciting violence. This is Nazi propaganda strategy.

Can’t we arrest her?

It's a standard fascist tactic, so I cant see republicans denouncing it.
