FBI’s ‘7th floor’ like ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’: Gohmert cites ‘sexual improprieties’ told by whistleblowers

Citing FBI whistleblowers numbering in the “double digits,” Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) likened the agency’s infamous “seventh floor,” FBI headquarters, to “Sodom and Gomorrah” on Thursday.

According to Gohmert, whistleblowers have approached both him and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and claimed the bureau engages in “sexual improprieties.”

“I’ve gotten double digits now myself,” Gohmert said of the number of FBI whistleblowers who have reached out to him.

“It sounds like Sodom and Gomorrah up there,” he continued. “We’ve got complaints this week about the sexual harassment, about sexual improprieties on the top floor, the seventh floor, where the headquarters is, of the FBI and all the favors and all the intimidation that goes along with sexual improprieties.”

Arguing from the House floor in opposition to the Merger Filing Fee Modernization Act of 2022, Gohmert stated the Justice Department, after spreading the lie that Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation,” is the last group you want to be put in charge of “reining in” Big Tech.

“Look, these are the last people that we need to trust with reining in the Big Tech because we’ve seen the techniques,” he stated.

“And I’ve got to give them credit,” he continued. “There is apparently a tremendous amount of corruption at the FBI and the DOJ that has not been reined in. I’ve got to give them credit. When it comes to intimidation and manipulation, they are right there.”

Gohmert compared the tactics used by the FBI and DOJ to those used by the Gestapo.

“When we used to call the attorney of people that we knew were not violent, even though they committed very serious felonies, we’d tell them when to report [and] they reported. We didn’t use the Gestapo tactics of going in in the dark, beating down doors, dragging them out in their underwear to parade in front of cameras that they leaked, inappropriately, leaked information to.”

He added that Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray have failed “to clean up their own act.”

Gohmert has been sounding alarms about the FBI’s abuses for some time now.

Pointing in August to an article in the Washington Examiner, the Lone Star State Rep. said the “dam” was beginning to break.

“These allegations are the beginning of the dam breaking on what appears to be widespread abuses by leaders of the FBI against rank-and-file agents, even beyond what we have seen with their recent Gestapo-like tactics against Trump and his supporters,” he tweeted.

By mid-September, after allegedly speaking with several FBI whistleblowers, Gohmert stated, “These are the times that try men’s souls… There is a systemic problem at the #FBI.”
