Trump shares chilling detail on HOW he was able to deter Taliban from killing US troops in Afghanistan

In the eyes of many, former President Donald J. Trump kept America’s enemies in line through strength, unlike the current occupant of the White House, and Trump recalled how he dealt with a Taliban leader to prevent the Islamist militant group from jumping back in Afghanistan when he was in charge.

During a wide-ranging interview with Sean Hannity, the nation’s 45th president told the Fox News host about his powerful deterrent to Abdul Ghani Baradar who is now the country’s deputy prime minister that he would “hit you harder than any country has ever been hit” if the jihadists took over Afghanistan or harmed U.S. troops.

Trump and Hannity discussed the disastrous withdrawal from the longest war in American history, a calamity of epic proportions presided over by Joe Biden and his gang of bunglers, and a complete surrender to the Taliban in what some have called the worst foreign policy disaster since the end of the Vietnam War.

“They don’t respect our leader,” Trump said, laying out how he would have handled the withdrawal differently including evacuating American citizens, taking the military out last, and not leaving $85 billion in military equipment behind as a gift for those who could use it against American soldiers and possibly civilians in the future.

But it was his handling of the Taliban co-founder that serves as the best example of why the nation’s enemies would have never dared to act out while he was in the White House.

“For 18 months, under my conversations with Abdul, who’s the leader of the Taliban, for 18 months, we didn’t lose one soldier,” Trump said in the interview which aired on Thursday night’s edition of “Hannity,” as he talked about the grim toll of military casualties during Biden’s catastrophic exit.

Hannity said to the ex-POTUS, “You told me in a previous interview that you told the leader of the Taliban before you ever talked about any withdrawal, any planned withdrawal, you said to me that in no uncertain terms, that you would obliterate him if he dared not to follow every dotted I, crossed T, comma, period.”

“Abdul, I did, I did,” replied Trump. “Had a conversation, had a number of conversations.”

“Didn’t you at one point tell him I know exactly where you are and give him the exact coordinates where he was?” Hannity asked.

“No. I sent him a picture of his house,” Trump said. “He said ‘but why, but why do you send me a picture of my house?’ I said you’ll have to figure that one out.”

“But I said, if you don’t, if you do anything… from that point on we didn’t lose one soldier,” Trump added. “I said if you do anything we’re gonna hit you harder than any country has ever been hit.”

“He said ‘I understand, your excellency,’ recalled Trump. “And he called me your excellency, I don’t know what he calls Biden, but I will tell you this. We didn’t lose one soldier in 18 months and by the way, Biden got up and made a speech and he said that.”

Trump continued, “And they didn’t follow the plan, we had a plan that was perfect but they weren’t adhering to it so they would have adhered to it but they weren’t, but we were set to get out of Afghanistan, 21 years was ridiculous.”

“The other thing we should have done was kept Bagram. We have an air base that cost billions and billions of dollars to build, a long time ago, not for Afghanistan but for China, one hour away from where China makes their nuclear weapons and now China’s going to be occupying it,” he said of Bagram Air Force base which was abandoned to the Taliban when Biden cut and ran.

Trump has also contended that if he were still president, that Vladimir Putin would have never invaded Ukraine, a conflict that now threatens to be the spark that ignites World War III and one that could have potentially been avoided if there was fear and respect for America’s leadership.
