Badly stung by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ brilliant idea to drop two planeloads of illegal immigrants in swanky Martha’s Vineyard last week, the media swarmed over rumors that more migrants were headed to President Biden’s home state of Delaware, flocking to the airport to greet them but being left with egg dripping from their faces when nobody showed up.
The official purveyors of disinformation have been having fits after DeSantis succeeded in putting the nation’s border crisis back in the headlines mere weeks before the crucial midterm elections that will determine whether Democrats can maintain their one-party rule over the government, sending the migrants to the wealthy elite’s very special island and suggesting that he could similarly drop off more of the unwelcome guests in other prime locations.
So when Twitter rumors emerged of a flight from Texas to an airport near President Biden’s vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, mainstream media outlets pounced, alerting viewers and readers of the grave injustice to the migrants by the Sunshine State Republican.

“The White House and the Delaware governor’s office were ready. So were the news media and political onlookers,” according to NBC News. “Everyone who gathered at a small airport in Georgetown, Delaware, near President Joe Biden’s home on Tuesday, was waiting in anticipation of a planeload of migrants to be flown from San Antonio, Texas, as part of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ program to send a message about illegal immigration.”
“But by late Tuesday night, no plane had arrived in Delaware. Instead, it landed in Teterboro, New Jersey, just outside New York City, where Biden was in town for the annual U.N. General Assembly meeting,” the outlet reported. “There were no migrants aboard the plane.”
But it was all for nothing, leaving a sour feeling among those who lunged for the bait.
“The media, the Democrats, everyone got punked who decided to heed some s— on Twitter instead of waiting for confirmation from the governor’s office. The entire point of this is to put a spotlight on the border. It’s what the governor has said.”https://t.co/wj9AIHNZd1

Describing the airport stakeout as a “Waiting for Godot-like spectacle,” Mark Caputo of NBC News quoted “a source familiar with the governor’s thinking who discussed the plans anonymously to speak candidly.”
“He didn’t tell anyone and purposely left people in the dark. So technically the media, the Democrats, everyone got punked who decided to heed some s— on Twitter instead of waiting for confirmation from the governor’s office,” the anonymous source said. “The entire point of this is to put a spotlight on the border. It’s what the governor has said.”
Some found great mirth in how easily the media was suckered.
Lol yup. All these reporters who are suddenly so interested in illegal immigration that they swarmed Delaware today, should try visiting the border once in a while. They’ll find plenty of illegal immigrants there.

Ron DeSantis is bringing attention to a humanitarian crisis. One the administration would rather ignore for political reasons. They said they were “sanctuary cities,” Florida never said that. Why can’t they handle them? They invited them.

And they fell for it. Just hilarious. They never confirm anything. Which is why it’s so easy to prove them wrong… Alot.

But there were plenty of sour grapes from leftist Twitter users who felt cheated.
Gov. DeSantis threatened to send migrants to Biden's Delaware home. It was a no-show.🤬

Why does someone “familiar with the Governor’s thinking” get anonymity to say how awesome the Governor is and how cancelling the latest kidnapping is actually a deft move to own the libs rather than, perhaps, a sign the kidnappings might be problematic.

No one got punked. You should be embarrassed writing that. My god.

DeSantis is in their heads and living there rent-free.
