He’s creating an energy crisis: MTG introduces Articles of Impeachment over Biden’s dangerous oil reserves game

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) officially introduced Articles of Impeachment against President Biden on Monday for selling off our Strategic Oil Reservices to the highest bidder which will almost certainly include our enemies.

Greene’s move follows the Department of Energy announcing on Monday that it is auctioning off 10 million barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).

“I just introduced Articles of Impeachment on President Joe Biden. Joe Biden is selling our strategic petroleum reserves. This should never happen. He is draining our reserves and selling our oil. American’s oil to foreign countries and China is a top buyer,” Greene stated in a video released on Twitter.

“China’s our enemy, they are not our friend. They’re buying American’s oil,” she proclaimed.

Greene is alluding to the fact that some of our oil has already made its way to the communist Chinese under the watchful eye of Biden.

“The Strategic Petroleum Reserve is our emergency supply, for if something goes wrong in this country, it’s now down to 434 million barrels of oil, that is nearly half of what it was when President Trump left office. This is an outrage, this is completely wrong and no president of the United States should be doing this to the American people,” Greene declared.

“It’s going to create a national emergency crisis and that’s exactly what President Joe Biden is doing. This is the number HR 1362. Impeach Joe Biden,” she urged.

The Department of Energy (DOE) announced that it will extend the period for selling 180 million barrels of crude oil by auctioning 10 million barrels from Sept. 19 to Sept. 27 and delivering the oil from Nov. 1. to Nov. 30, according to a notice from the agency.

The excuse for selling the reserves is to bring down gas prices, which will take place during the same month as the midterm elections that occur on Nov. 8. The reduction would be negligible but the national security threat this poses is significant.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre crowed on Sept. 14 at a press conference that gas prices had fallen for 90 straight days. She boasted about Biden’s efforts to bring down prices at the pump after they peaked at over $5 per gallon in June 2022.

The Biden administration insultingly believes that reducing the price of gas a few cents to levels still magnitudes greater than when the president took office will mollify Americans into voting for Democrats.

The average price of gas nationally is $3.67 per gallon, which is 48 cents higher than it was in September 2021, according to AAA.

Biden’s Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm announced on Sept. 8 that the administration may continue to auction off barrels of oil from the reserve past October to ward off increasing fuel prices in late 2022, according to Reuters.

To date, Biden has released 155 million barrels of oil. The sale in November will bring that total to 165 million barrels out of the 180 million barrels that he sought to sell from March to October. According to the DOE, the emergency oil reserve fell to its lowest level on Sept. 6 since Nov. 1984.

Since the oil goes to the highest bidder, foreign countries will also be vying for it – that includes countries such as China which is an enemy of the United States.

Biden announced in late March that he would approve SPR sales to lower gas prices and increase the global supply of oil that is being disrupted by “Putin’s price hike,” according to a White House press release.
