Jill Biden gets a new hankering for breakfast tacos, schedules special Hispanic event

Pandering is a staple for Democratic politicians and though their stranglehold on the Hispanic vote has loosened with common-sense cutting through talking points, the left still hopes to get their vote in the midterms.

First lady Jill Biden has remained mum on the subject since she was called out for referring to Hispanics as “breakfast tacos,” but Friday a spokeswoman for the president’s wife assured that an event would be held to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

With President Joe Biden thus far failing to recognize the 235th anniversary of the United States Constitution, the fact that his social media feed has a banner celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month which kicked off Thursday seems almost like a given for the divisive leader whose policies have further eroded the framework set forth by the Founders. Falling in line with that messaging, the first lady’s communications director Elizabeth Alexander assured Fox News Digital that while no announcement has been made, the White House would be holding an event as Mrs. Biden continues “to engage the community.”

“Yes, the first lady will host a Hispanic Heritage Month reception at the White House and continue to engage the community as she travels the country,” Alexander told the outlet.

July at the “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon” in San Antonio, Texas, Biden had infamously likened attendees to food as she lauded the events organizer UnidosUS President Raul Yzaguirre saying, “Raul helped build this organization with the understanding that the diversity of this community, as distinct as the bogedas [sic] of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.”

As she was reamed on social media for her remarks, her then-press secretary Michael LaRosa, who would go on to step down by the end of the month, issued an apology in her stead on Twitter that drew as much derision as the original statement.

“The First Lady apologizes that her words conveyed anything but pure admiration and love for the Latino community,” LaRosa wrote.

With that apology came a slew of comments, including from the Daily Wire’s editor emeritus Ben Shapiro, pointing out that progressives can’t even keep their own butchering of the language straight as attention was drawn to LaRosa’s use of “Latino” instead of the woke alternative “Latinx.”

Having learned nothing from the backlash, those in charge of the president’s Twitter feed drew remarkably close to the original contentious remarks made by Mrs. Biden with a post Thursday that read, “National Hispanic Heritage Month reminds us that the American identity is a fabric of diverse traditions and stories woven together. This month, we thank the generations of Hispanic leaders who helped build this country and continue to fight for equity and justice.”

Perhaps demonstrating why the first lady has remained mum, it wasn’t long before comments were posted reminding that her taco comments had not been forgotten as well as some of his own stereotypical remarks.
