As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis gave wealthy leftist elitists a taste of their own medicine by flying two planes with 50 illegal immigrants onboard to Martha’s Vineyard, California Governor Gavin Newson begged the DOJ to slap him with kidnapping charges.

DeSantis decried the left’s virtue signaling over throwing open the borders to illegal immigrants as a fraud.
“If you have folks who are inclined to think Florida is a good place [to settle], our message to them is we are not a sanctuary state, and it’s better to be able to go to a sanctuary jurisdiction, and yes, we will help facilitate that transport for you to be able to go to greener pastures,” DeSantis said on Thursday in a speech. “Every community in America should be sharing in the burdens. It shouldn’t all fall on a handful of red states.”
DeSantis chartered two planes on Wednesday to take illegal aliens who had crossed the border into red states to the exclusive Massachusetts holiday island where wealthy elitists vacation. According to the Daily Mail, most of the migrants were Venezuelans.
Democrats and human rights groups had a massive meltdown over the tit-for-tat move. They accused the Florida governor of playing politics with people’s lives and tricking the illegal immigrants with promises of expedited work permits if they boarded the planes.

Enter Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist who disingenuously called DeSantis a “monster” for “using children as a stunt.”
“We take what’s happening at the southern border very seriously, unlike some, and unlike the president of the United States, who has refused to lift a finger to secure that border,” DeSantis clapped back on Thursday.
“And you have had millions and millions of people pouring across illegally – a record amount of fentanyl coming into our country. It is absolutely killing Americans in record numbers,” he charged. “Of course, you have criminal aliens, but just the sheer number of people is just not the way you run a country.”

DeSantis made it abundantly clear on Thursday that Florida is not a sanctuary state for illegal immigrants. He has joined the governors of Texas and Arizona in paying for transporting migrants to blue cities in blue states because they are the ones welcoming the law breakers with open arms. Red states do not condone illegal immigration and therefore contend that the migrants should go to the states pushing for it.
In 2017, Massachusetts ruled that court officers do not have the authority to arrest someone suspected of being in the U.S. illegally if that person is not facing criminal charges, effectively giving the state sanctuary status.
“The minute even a small fraction of what those border towns deal with every day is brought to their front door, they go berserk, and they’re so upset that this is happening,” DeSantis remarked.
“And it just shows you that their virtue-signaling is a fraud. Now what would be best is for Biden to do his damn job and secure the border,” the governor charged.

But the prize for the biggest virtue signaler goes to California’s Governor Gavin Newsom who wrote to the Department of Justice to request that DeSantis be investigated for kidnapping. Which is rich in hypocrisy considering the Biden administration has transported illegal immigrants to all corners of the country, many times in the dead of night.
Newsom raged over the “inhumane efforts” by the governors of Florida, Texas, and Arizona to transport migrants out of their states.
He sent his letter out in a tweet, “I urge US DOJ to investigate whether the alleged fraudulent inducement would support charges of kidnapping under relevant state laws, which could serve as a predicate offense for charges under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization (RICO) provisions of the Organized Crime Control Act.”

In a letter to Merrick Garland, the attorney general, the California governor claimed he was “horrified at the images of migrants being shipped on buses and planes across the country to be used as political props.”
President Biden could not keep silent over the incident and hypocritically demanded on Thursday that Republicans stop the transporting of illegal immigrants to Democratic strongholds.

“Republicans are playing politics with human beings, using them as props. What they’re doing is simply wrong, it’s un-American, it’s reckless,” Biden railed, ignoring that he has done it far more than Republicans have.
“We have a process in place to manage migrants at the border,” the president stated. “We’re working to make sure it’s safe and orderly and humane. Republican officials should not interfere with that process by waging a politically political stance.”
“The White House is full of a bunch of hypocrites, led by the Hypocrite-in-Chief who has been flying planeloads of migrants across the country and oftentimes in the cover of night,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s press secretary Renae Eze responded in a statement to Fox News Digital.
