‘Keep your eyes on this lump’: Tucker Carlson plays up odd abnormality on John Fetterman’s neck

The plot thickens in Pennsylvania? In a form of sarcasm, Fox News host Tucker Carlson is implying that may be the case.

Carlson, who previously castigated power-hungry Democrats who could be backing someone for the U.S. Senate who is “completely impaired,” has raised a separate health-related question about the candidate’s running mate.

In a partially satirical segment on Wednesday evening with a nonetheless serious subtext, Carlson said in the video clip embedded above, “Last week, we told you in some great detail about a man called John Fetterman, who is running for the U.S. Senate from Pennsylvania. What we didn’t mention at the time was Fetterman’s ‘running mate’ because honestly, we didn’t know he had a running mate.”

Fetterman, the state’s far-left lieutenant governor who is a stroke victim, is running against Trump-endorsed, GOP standard-bearer Dr. Mehmet Oz, the heart surgeon and health-and-wellness TV star, in a contest that could decide which political party controls the U.S. Senate.

“But we learned the identity of this running mate yesterday when Fetterman for the first time in memory removed the filthy, DNA-covered hoodie that, as it turns out, conceals quite a bit underneath, So beneath the foul-smelling hoodie was this protrusion. As you can see, it’s not quite a goiter, but it’s definitely bigger than a pimple. It’s a lump,” Carlson continued.

“But what sort of lump? That’s really the question,” he wondered. “Does this lump have its own Instagram? Does it plan to run for statewide office in Pennsylvania? Don’t laugh: A party that put Joe Biden in the White House is perfectly capable of building a whole campaign around any insentient lump of flesh.

“In fact, they’re running John Fetterman, who can’t even talk. So keep your eyes on this lump. It could very well run with Kamala Harris in 2024,” he quipped in conclusion.

In a recent appearance with Carlson, Dr. Oz asserted that Fetterman is a soft-on-crime, alleged tax deadbeat who is running a Biden-style, limited campaign.

According to Oz, his opponent has actually not agreed to a debate (other than a vague reference to a possible matchup in mid-October after many ballots will have been cast under early voting.)

“Either you’re healthy enough to debate…or you’re lying about your health. Either way, we need to know the truth,” Oz told Carlson.

“Another decadent rich kind pushing crime and drugs and refusing to defend his positions,” Carlson noted at the end of the conversation.

Watch:

Even some legacy media outlets like The Washington Post have criticized Fetterman for his recalcitrance. The Post has also called upon Fetterman to release his medical records.

According to the current RealClearPolitics aggregate, Fetterman currently leads Oz, who is campaigning tirelessly, by about six points, assuming this data is accurate.

This suggests perhaps that the physician-politician has not yet fully consolidated the GOP base behind his candidacy, but there’s still a long way to go.

The Trump-endorsed Oz has faced some criticism for being insufficiently MAGA and actually being from New Jersey rather than the Keystone State.

Fetterman obviously has his own issues of various kinds.
